Now THIS is cold!

ETA: DH is out ice fishing in this awful weather today. It is SO windy, the windchill isn't reading right on the computer. It says 65523 degrees for the wind chill right now, LOL! He said he's about 3 1/2 miles out on Lake Of The Woods on the Minnesota/Canadian border. He IS crazy !

Seriously though, it's brutal! Don't plan on going anywhere because if you don't have a heated garage, you are SOL!!

alice&arik replied: It is really cold here too. I hate it. Online it says it is going to be -15, but i think it will be colder and it doesn't say anything about the windchill. I still have the care outside beacuse I was going to clean it out and Arik was sleeping when we got home and I didn't want to carry him all that way. Hopefully it starts, I am going to put it in the garage in a little bit. I really need to buy some gloves.

mummy2girls replied: Its not that cold here in my part of canada i live in(alberta). it willt hough by thursday. I remember last year in january it reached 49 below 0. now that was flipping cold! Even though cars were plugged in they still didnt start. because the cord to plug in the car would froze solid! So here i was at 12am starting my car and letting it run for 20 minutes and bringing in my cord so that would unfreeze. Then at 600 when i do start my car it would be fine!

alice&arik replied: Well it is kind of a good thing I didn't put the car in the garage earlier because I was just out there to move it and it almost didn't start. It was really bad. It never would have started in the morining. I let it run for about 20 minutes or more and it was ok. But I will have to start it in the morning just to be sure.

I reallly wish I lived in a warm state.

alice&arik replied: I woke up this morning with NO heat. I couldn't believe it. I was under the covers with Arik and I knew it felt a little cold. So I layed there listening if the furnace was kicking on and nothing. So I got up and BRRRR!! I checked the thermostat and it said 45 degrees !!!!! I called my landlord and he came over right away, but it was starting to kick on then. This was at 9:30. He thinks it might have gotten too cold on the pipes outside so it quit. He just put the brand-new furnace in this fall so it has only been used a few months. He is here again to look at it and make sure it keeps working. I hope this doesn't happen every time it gets real cold. I will be in the cold all winter here . I live in Bemidji MN, people call it Brrrmidji.

It was -32 F this morning here according to our thermometer outside. I love Minnesota in the winter !

I HATE this weather!! What is there to like about it? You freeze your toosh off as soon as you step outside. I hate having to go to work when it is like this, I wish I could stay home and relax. I think it was abou that cold this morning too. tonight it is really cold too.

I sure hope someone gets me a new hat and mittens for Chistmas. But I might go and get some myself tomorrow. I can't stand too much more of it. Last night I wore a pair of socks on my hands to keep them from freezing.
