Nursery Themes

Tarrah wrote: Beings that I am on bedrest, I am trying to start planning the nursey and was wondering if anyone knew what they were doing for theirs. We are having a boy and my husband is a sports nut, so we were thinking a sports theme with the little sports balls and all. I thought DH would be thrilled by that , bu the wants to see a few more options before we decide. Anyone willing to share their ideas?

My3LilMonkeys replied: We had Sesame Street.

CosmetologyMommy replied: We have classic pooh

kayla's mama replied: We did modern Pooh.

MyBrownEyedBoy replied: Logan has cartoon bugs. I'll see if I can dig up a few photos.
Here are pics. My brother painted the bugs, he took the designs off the bed set I found.

1lilpeanut2love replied: if we were going to have a boy we were going to do BOB THE BUILDER. He is too cute. As you can see we have a girl. We did HELLO KITTY for her. Really cute and it is still in her room. Be creative.

Edward's Mommy replied: Edward was a surprise, so Care Bears was our theme.

NEWMOM05 replied: We did Little Pond by Cathy Heck. Works for a boy or girl. It has animals such as Hippo, giraffe, frog, duckie, dragon fly, elephant. Basically you can do lots with it.

Peggy

MyLuvBugs replied: Well, Lorelei's room was celestial, so moons, stars, etc in all pastel colors.

If this new baby is a girl, it will be the same b/c it's already done. KWIM?

If this new baby is a boy....smile.gif...We were thinking either choo-choo trains or planes, trains, and automobiles theme. Dh loves sports too, but when I said a sports theme he said " I don't want the kid to feel forced into sports from the very beginning." his exact words. rolleyes.gif So choo-choo's and cars were next. smile.gif

luvmykids replied: We had Little Suzy's Zoo.

CAMSMOM1 replied:

We really wanted a "car" theme, since my DH is a huge car fanatic! rolleyes.gif We found a really cute "trains, planes & automobiles" theme at Babies-R-Us. And it's great, cause our son looooves cars! So I'm glad we went with that theme.

I looked it up on Babies R Us website, they discontinued it. sad.gif But there was one that looked pretty similar.

It had some really cute themes. wink.gif

Scootie replied: I did classic/modern Pooh. Couldm't decide so did both.

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: I didn't really do a theme...we have light yellow and blue toille for the bedding and just solid blues, yellows and whites throughout the room. Works for either boy or girl.

For Wil's new room, we again didn't do much of a theme, but we did get him airplane sheets, so I bought an airplane framed print and some wall pegs to match. The bedding is a bright striped quilt, lots of bright blues, reds and a bit of bright green. I'm more into solids...

KingMom replied: We bought the Pottery Barn Kids Velour Animals print bedding and window valance since Colin was a surprise. The room was painted yellow and we had green gingham lampshade on his dresser.

If we have another boy, we will keep it the same. if it's a girl, I don't think I'll be able to resist making some pink changes wink.gif
