mommy~to~a~bunch wrote: It's just a couple of dish rags, but it's a start!! I'm proud of myself for learning how to bind off and how to pick up dropped stitches .

PrairieMom replied: Not bad! is the rainbow one your 2nd try? the stitches look way more even. Nice work! I wish I knew how to knitt, I think the clicking sound would be relaxing. Maybe it can be a summer project.
mommy~to~a~bunch replied: Yes, the rainbow one was the 2nd one. I did plain garter stitch on the tan one, and the stockinette stitch on the rainbow. These were made with worsted weight cotton yarn.
I have a TON of yummy wool yarn here to make soakers or longies from once I get good enough & after I find a good pattern.
kimberley replied: very good!
A&A'smommy replied: cool!!!! Good job
MyBlueEyedBabies replied: They look good. You will love working in the round when you start trying for longies or shorties....I say go for it now. this is teh first one I did (done flat) ... http://www.dunmani.plus.com/knitting/patterns/soaker.html it is done flat and realllllly easy. worsted weight and size 4 needles gave us a size that fits Johnny pretty good right now. after that the sheepy pants pattern is really cool. I messed up probably the first 10 pairs but didn't realize it until later when I figured out that i was reading something wrong...I love patterns that are forgiving to my stupidity http://www.sheepytimeknits.com/knit/pants.htm and at $5.75 a good price
Sam & Abby's Mom replied: Those look great. I have no idea how to knit. Good job!!!!
mommy~to~a~bunch replied: Thanks!! I have circular needles on the way in the mail (Addi Turbo's), and I can't wait to try knitting in the round. And thank you for that longies pattern! Hopefully it will be easy for me to figure out.
bawoodsmall replied: very cool. I dont have the patience for that...I get frustrated easily...maybe thats where aiden gets it.
MoonMama replied: Good job Mollie!
MyBlueEyedBabies replied: It really is very easy. and if you need any help feel free to pm me and I can probably help you.
AlexsPajamaMama replied: Great job!! I have never tried knitting but I find crocheting very relaxing..I have done a ton of dish clothes and started a baby blanket
xela replied: good for a start. . i tried knitting once and the output of my work didn't go so well. haah.. i should have tried harder. .
