OK...so househinting isn't that bad afterall - We found our home......
My2Beauties wrote: Oh my goodness you guys it's perfect!!! Yesterday we went out a little county outside of Louisville looking, I'm thinking we won't have anymore luck than we had been having, I mean I had found something wrong with every single house. We pulled up to the driveway and the house had the cutest little front porch with a swing, nice big size driveway - you could easily fit like 10-12 cars because it stretches all the way to the back of the house, so that is great for company and holidays. When you walked in there was just nothing wrong with this house. It was absolutely beautiful. It had gorgeous navy blue colored carpet all the way through, except one bedroom (their girls bedroom) had lavendar carpet and was done in light lavender colors, it was gorgeous, she had it decorated with white wicker furniture. The couple who lived there had exquisite taste in furniture and decorating, she had Kincaid painting hanging everywhere, I love his work, he's known as the painter of light and all of his prints are gorgeous. The kitchen was absolutely to die for, she had a whole wall of at least 3-4 pantries that went from floor to cieling, so I have a whole wall of pantries (or at least I hope I will), the kitchen had white cabinets and the handles on the drawers and the knobs on the cabinets were blue crystal - oh it was just gorgeous. It had an island in the middle of the kitchen with granite countertops. From the kitchen you walked into the den and it had one whole wall (high cielings might I add) and all the way up the wall and covering the entire side of that part of the room was a big brick wall with a huge brick fireplace in the middle with built in oak bookcases on each side. It had 1 1/2 baths which is the only thing I didn't like, I wanted 2 full baths but the one bedroom that had the 1/2 bath in it was int he back of the house so it would be extremely easy to add onto it and add a tub in there as well as add some square footage to the master bedroom. It would be so easy because the backyard was 3/4 of an acre, so to us (us city slickers ) that's a nice size backyard really. Every other house had less than 1/4 of an acre, making for a really small backyard that would barely fit a swingset. It had 3 big size sheds in the backyard that were really nice looking and one had electric wiring running to it. It had a deck and a patio coming out of the back of the house. The backyard was so big, we can put Hanna a play place out there with swings, slides etc.. as well as a trampoline, pool, horseshoes, volleyball net when we have company over. It was just perfect you guys, it was exactly what we wanted and it was just that house that WOWED us. I am so happy!! We're going to put our bid in Monday hopefully, if not Monday sometime the beginning of next week. Our pre-approval letter will be done on Monday so hopefully I can ask a few more questions about the house, such as will appliances remain etc.. and then we'll get our offer together! Say a prayer for us that they take the first offer (I doubt it because they have no other offers pending right now, our real estate agent told us to go low, we're offering a little over $9000 less than what they want, but she said that is the name of the game, hopefully they dont' counter offer, but they probably will, so we'll see how everything plays out)! I'm so excited I hope we get this house.

Boys r us replied: This DOES sound like THE ONE girl!!! how exciting!!! Well, youjust never know what someone is willing to take..you don't know their circumstances right now..they may REALLY need out of the house for one reason or another!! Anyhow, I'm glad that you waited until you found one you really liked instead of "settling" and adding on to make additional room for a tub is no bigge considering that there is obviously already water lines ran to the existing bathroom for the sink!
Good Luck and I'll have my fingers crossed for you!!!!!!
luvbug00 replied: OHH it sound perfect~! crossing fingers for you! good luck!!
My2Beauties replied: Yeah that is what I figured too. I would want to extend it out to put a tub in and also extend the bedroom out and add a big walk-in closet after we've been there a while of course. For right now it'll have to stay as is, because we plan on buying new furniture I called our real estate lady today and she sent me the comparables and the disclosures and everything, tomorrow everything will be faxed to her as far as our pre-approval letter and everything and then we're gonna bid! I'm excited!
