OK you guys asked...names

My2Beauties wrote: First of all thanks for all the congrats in my other post...I'm really actually secretly excited... don't tell DH I so wanted a boy for him to bond with and I just wanted to experience having a son, but the thoughts of two little girls running around playing hair and beauty shop together and playing house and stuff, oh it makes me go awwwwwwwwwwwwww Desiree is soooooooooo excited she said she didn't want another brother (her mom has a 4 year old boy) she said she wants another sister! Hanna is indifferent, she said I don't have a lil' sissy I have a big sissy But beware guys....DH said he has changed his mind about the big "V" - now that he knows it's a girl he doesn't want one Uh-oh, I might be in for it yet again! Well here are some names I've picked out that I like I want opinions, be honest:

Alexis Lynn
Alexis Nicole ....call her Lexi

Samantha Josephine....Sammy Jo

Danielle Lynn...call her Danny

Aubrey Elizabeth

I love the name Briley (DH said absolutely not, it's our names put together well sort of, but he hates it, so I guess that's out of the picture )

Gabrielle Elizabeth
Gabrielle Nicole.....call her Gabby

Tatum Nicole
Tatum Elizabeth

Heidi Lynn
Heidi Nicole....two H names would be cute, but I'm not sure about this one, I'm debating

Isabella Lynn...call her Lizzy or Bella or Belle

Arial or Ariel Nicole.....I love the name but makes me think of the Little Mermaid now

Aundrea Lynn
Aundrea Nicole....I don't want to spell it Andrea because I want it pronounced like "On-Draya"

Ok so I know I have a lot of names, but I have plenty of time. Gee, can you guys tell what I like for middle names?? I've always loved the name Nicole, I was supposed to be a Nicole but my aunt and my mom were pregnant at the same time (aunt no my dad's side) and she had her daughter first and named her Nicole...so there went my name So I had a cousin, Nicole, she died from SIDS though when she was about 3 months old so I never knew her, I just don't know if I want to name her first name Nicole with that happening, evidently it hurt a lot of people in my family, but I think using it as a middle name would sort of be a tribute to her, plus I LOVE the name. I love Elizabeth as a middle name and Lynn is my mom's middle name. Hanna has my middle name, Marie, Desiree has her mom and Brian's mom's middle name, Ann, so I figured maybe this one should have my mom's middle name! I don't know - thoughts?? Man I had a boy named picked out it was going to be a Brian Jr

Boys r us replied: I love the name Samantha! Tatum is my favorite name on your list!!! Ohhh I could so see you with a little "Tate". LOVE LOVE LOVE that name!!!

Not fond of Alexis, but I do like Alexa.

I have to nix the Heidi...that's my soon to be EX SIL's name and I'm not fond of her!


I like all of the others except Aundrea and Aubrey.

So, he doesn't like the name Briley, huh? What about Brinley or Brinlea (Pronounced: Br-in-Lee) a little girl at my BF group has that as a name. It's different and kinda cute.

As for middle names....I like Nichole and Elizabeth more than Lynn, but that's just my personal preference.

Tatum is nice too...I like all the names except Samantha

My2Beauties replied: Why does DH have to be so difficult, ok I knew he didn't like Briley, but he also doesn't like Tatum (which is one of my favs too), he doesn't like Gabrielle, he has a 2nd cousin named Alexis so he said he doesn't want to name her after another family member (I'm like it's your second cousin, or however that works, it's his cousins' little girl, we never ever see them) so I'm like what does that matter?? Urg He hasn't said no to Samantha, Aubrey, Danielle, I forgot to mention Isabella and Aundrea to him. I'm leaning towards Samantha, but I might change it to Samantha Nicole, that's prettier than Samantha Josephine, but I like Sammy Jo I think it's cute, I like Danny too as a shortened name for a girl. I'd probably call her Sam though if I went with Samantha, like Demi Moore in Ghost, she was sharp in that movie, I thought she was so beautiful Anyways, I can already tell DH is going to be make naming the baby difficult yet again It took us almost my whole pregnancy to figure out Hanna's name, I wanted Olivia or Grace and he said absolutely not, they were old lady names I think they're beautiful names! Oh well! I guess we'll figure it out sooner or later. But Tatum is my fav too, that and Alexis and he hates Tatum and doesn't know about Alexis!

And about Nicole.. It could just be me becvause others may think differently but I personally wouldnt use nicole as a tribute. Yes it is a beautiful idea dont get me wrong. But when Jordan passed away my brother wanted to put jordan as his sons middle name as a tribute to Jordan. I personally did not want it because to me there will always be only one Jordan.

Have you considered 2 middle names? You like the nickname Sammy Jo, so you could name her Samantha Josephine Nicole or Samantha Nicole Josephine (I think this flows nicely) I love the name Danielle too.

i love the names Gabrielle and Ariel, those are my faves but i also think that Erika is on to something with Brinley, that sounds very cool and very uncommon.
Then again, Gabrielle and Ariel both are Hebrew names, having Hebrew origins, in fact Ariel means lion in Hebrew and the name Hanna has Hebrew origins too so they'd match.
i'm sure she'll be perfect no matter what name you pick.
