Luckily, I was just getting up from my nap (I NEVER take naps!), so I looked to see who it was...I called her right back, and she answered!!! YAAAAAAAY!
So, here's the news She ended up having to go to the hospital, and Isaia was born at 3 (eastern time) yesterday morning. He had fluid in his lungs and has a respiratory infection, so he is in the NICU. He is on oxygen, but he finally got to eat just a few minutes ago (so around 2 in the afternoon, eastern). Since he hadn't eaten, he has lost some weight. She said they haven't been able to hold him or anything, so that stinks...but the doctors say he is doing well Jessica goes home tomorrow and will post pictures. She said he has some tubes and stuff, but you can still see him. OH! He was 6 lb. 13 ozs and 19 inches long. She was just barely at the 36-week mark, so they aren't shocked he has some issues. Please pray or send "get well, baby!" vibes.

As for 6lbs, 13 ounces -- sounds good for a baby born at 36 weeks. The average weight at 36 weeks gestation is approximately 5.8 lbs It makes sense... at 40 weeks the average is about 7.6 lbs -- he probably would have weighed somewhere around 8 1/2 or 9 lbs. at 40 weeks.
-- I was born at 36 1/2 weeks (many years ago) and weighed in at 6 lbs. 5 ounces
Kaitlin'smom replied: weird I called the date....sorry Jessica. Hope he can come home soon.
Swood75 replied: CONGRATS!! Can't wait to see pics of him..But,I thought Jess was closer to 37 weeks as she posted about a week or so ago and said she was 8 days from being full term??
MoonMama replied: Awww CONGRATS Jessica, Sal, and big sister Bella. Welcome to the world little prince! Lots of P&PTs being said ~~~~get well soon~~~~
HuskerMom replied: Congrats!! I hope they can bring their little man home soon!
lisar replied: Sorry the baby is in the NICU I know its hard. Stay strong baby!!!!
Bamamom replied: She was 8 days from being 37 weeks. A 37 week baby isn't considered premature. So when she posted that she was only 35 weeks and 5 days or so.
Anyway - congrats Jess!!!! Hope little man's infection cleares right up and you get him home soon
grapfruit replied: *~*~*Get Well Soon Isaia*~*~*
Congrats Jessica and Sal!!!! I can't wait to see pictures of your new little man!!!!
Swood75 replied: I know that a 37 week baby isn't considered a premie..The reason I asked that was because she posted about it being only 8 days on December 26th..So,yesterday (January 3rd) would have been 8 days (so she was 37 weeks yesterday)according to when she posted that..
