I think I'm losing my mind.

Sorry had to get that off my chest for a minute. sad.gif

luvmykids replied: Sorry! Hang in there! Have you tried letting her fuss for a few minutes? Does she need another burp? My DH taught me a trick ... holding her kind of upright jiggle her (very gently) with your ear on her tummy. If you hear swishing or gurgling she may have another burp.

Sending sleepy vibes to you!!!!!!!!1 snooze.gif snooze.gif snooze.gif snooze.gif

CAMSMOM1 replied: I was thinking it was gas too. Have you tried Mylicon drops? Or Little Tummies? I know that when Cam had gas, and I layed him down, he would cry...and wouldn't sleep. And when he was being held, he was fine.

Hang in there sweetie!!!! Lots & Lots of Sleeping Vibes coming your way! snooze.gif snooze.gif snooze.gif snooze.gif snooze.gif snooze.gif snooze.gif

I had already been told that in the first few weeks not to do this because your child needs to know you are there for them. Well if she doesn't know it then she does now. LOL. blush.gif I think it was just wanting to be held. At 230 I finally just laid her in her bassinet and walked down the stairs out the front door so I couldn't hear her. On my way out I told DH it was all him. I haven't wanted to smoke so bad since I quit. (I refrained though it was very tempting.)

DH went upstairs and rocked her bassinet and she went out like a light. growl.gif He came out on the front porch and was trying to be funny. It wasn't going over very well with me. He told me he rocked her bed and she's asleep. wacko.gif Glad he fixed the problem.

Thank you all for the hug.gif I needed them. We got up at 7 this morning and she just went back to sleep so I think I am going to go lay down.

I LOVE YOU ALL hug.gif hug.gif hug.gif hug.gif

I didn't mean to let her cry it out, I just remember Kylie at a few weeks always cried for a few minutes when we put her down no matter what. wub.gif

And WTG not smoking, not sure I could've restrained myself at that point! thumb.gif

Hope you got some rest today!

I hope you are having a better day today.

holley79 replied:

It was NOT very easy. LOL. I wanted to go to the store so bad and get a pack, smoke the whole thing, and just be happy. I had already told myself I was done BF and I was going to just formula feed. (That's how frustrated I was.) Then of course the guilt would have kicked in. blush.gif

Hillbilly Housewife replied: lol

I remember those days / nights... lolol

I lost count at how many nights I slept upright in my lazyboy chair ..... rolling_smile.gif

None of our kids were ever able to go to sleep on their own as babies. They were always nursed, (boob or bottle) and/or rocked to sleep - until about 3 or 4 months old. That's when we started putting them in their cribs, when they were sleepy, and rubbing their backs / singing / patting their butts etc etc to get them to fall asleep on their own... of course it didn't always work... but in any case by the time they were about 1 year old, they could be put to bed no problems. (it was after that they realized that they could ask for a drink, a pee, a snack, a cuddle, and all those annoying reasons to get out of bed... rolleyes.gif )

Naomie still sleeps on my chest, or in her carseat. She's sleepng longer bouts now, and in the mornings, she sleeps in my bed while I take a shower, get dressed etc... on her back in the middle of the bed. She wakes up when we put her down too... but hardly wakes up when we put her in her carseat.

Actually - when she's REALLY fussy - we'll put her in her car seat awake, but sleepy, bundle her up with blankets, and grab the handle and swing. It usually puts her to sleep right away.

Good luck.... from experience, bf is very hard the first month...it gets easier... formula is SOOOO enticing when you're having lack of sleep... I was never able to exclusively breastfeed my other 2 kids - but this one I got it, with all the support from here. hug.gif

Which goes on into the teens, I'm thinking! bigthink.gif

Rileysmom replied:
It's so frustrating when Daddy comes in and makes everything all better in 2.5 seconds when you've been trying for hours. I hope you're having a better day today.

Hillbilly Housewife replied:

Ooooh I know the feeling. Naomie can be really fussy, cryng twisting around etc... and dh will take her, and no lie - 30 seconds she's out.

A&A'smommy replied: awwww hun I know how you feel we probably all do... hug.gif hug.gif I hope you have a good night tonight!!!
