OMG I think we are mean, mean parents
luvmykids wrote: Macie had a splinter in her foot and DH and I laughed our butts off the whole time we were getting it out
The drama was just too much for us, DH was holding her other foot, without the splinter, and she was screaming that it hurt and to stop Then she said I was going to have to sit on her because she loved the splinter and wasn't going to hold still Long after DH got it out, she was still crying and screaming "OUUUUUUCH" and even got Bogie howling
Please tell me we aren't the only ones who find humor in these moments:blush:
Brias3 replied: NO! You're definitely not the only ones.
I feel bad for little Macie's foot, but I can't help but think how very familiar this sounds!!
Our deal is that we have a drama queen daughter to boot. I swear Aliyah will find any excuse to make a production. Sometimes I can't help but laugh! I do not wish that splinter on our household, I fear the neighbors would think someone is being murdered over here with the sounds she would emit
luvbug00 replied: i would have laughed too. somtimes it doesn't hurt to laugh. it's just a spliner after all.
Kirstenmumof3 replied: Nope you're not the only one! I remember when Emily was about 2 1/2, she was really sick and needed blood work taken. Well the nurse came in with the doctor and a few other nurses to hold her down. All the while Emily is screaming "I'M TOO LITTLE TO DIE!" DH and I couldn't help it, we couldn't stop laughing.
My3LilMonkeys replied: I laugh my butt off at my little drama queens all the time! Makes it kind of difficult to punish Brooke when I'm laughing at her dramatic temper tantrums.
luvmykids replied: ROFL

I just got a mental picture of that one.
Calimama replied: Too funny!!
luvmykids replied: I soooo wish we'd recorded it, it went on and on and on and there she is, held down by us with tears streaming down our faces... poor baby but PLEASE When Bogie got in on it, that was the final straw...she told him to be quiet because she was concentrating
PrairieMom replied: I thought I was evil because I am a laugher too. The louder they scream the harder I laugh. Last time we had to give Ben shots he rolled up like a ball on the floor and screamed NNNNOOOOOOOOOOOO!! I picked him up, and he stayed in a ball shape. I plunked him on the exam table and the nurse had to help me un peel him. She got finished and he was still screaming. I had to take his face in my hands and get right in his face to tell him it was already over.

lovemy2 replied: Oh yeah - I laugh too - Olivia started crying WHEN WE LEFT THE HOUSE on the way to get her staples out - then we had to peel her hands off the door jambs to get her in the room - we had Dylan with us too cause he was sick - she kept saying make him go first, make him go first - after it was all over she told the Ped - I AM NOT HAPPY
Glad Macie's foot is OK
My2Beauties replied: OK I'm glad I'm not the only one that does that, Hanna is such a DRAMA queen too, when she has the tiniest little scratch or something she goes off the deep end, I laugh almost every time. Oh and don't let her fall in front of me, I really laugh then! She always falls so awkward, it's hilarious.
