luvmykids wrote: You have to make this cake. It tastes exactly like pumpkin pie and it's super moist and thick ....
1 Spice cake mix 1/2 c oil 3 eggs 1/2 c water 1 can pumpkin pie mix 1tsp cinnamon
Mix all ingredients at medium speed for 5 minutes. Butter and flour bundt pan well, bake at 350 for 40-45 minutes or until knife comes out mostly clean.
Let cool.
Glaze (Very important part of it!!) 1/4 c butter 1/2 c brown sugar Boil for one minute, stirring continuously. Let cool, then add: 1/2 milk, beat until smooth Add 1 3/4c powdered sugar, beat again until smooth.
When cake has cooled and been removed from pan, and glaze has set slightly, drizzle over the top and allow to set.
OMGosh this is the BEST pumpkin anything I've EVER had!!!!

I couldn't find my recipe and then I remembered I posted it here. I'm baking one tonight to put in the teachers lounge tomorrow...if I can keep DH away from it
lovemy2 replied: Oh I love pumpkin anything - I will definately be trying this one
Calimama replied: Yummy, thanks!
jacobsmama replied: YUMMMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm making it tomm!!!!!!!
MoonMama replied: Not sure if you remember or not Mon, but I made it a few times and YUMMMMMMMY! Everyone always loves it. I'm making it again this yr to bring to my parents for Thanksgiving.
mom21kid2dogs replied: Can you use canned pumpkin instead of "pumpkin pie mix"? I have never seen pumpkin pie mix so I'm not sure they carry it around here. Is it usually found with the dry cake mixes or is it something other than a cake~like mix?
luvmykids replied: It's usually with the other pie fillings, like apple and cherry, near the canned fruit at my store. I'm sure you could use canned pumpkin, but in that case I would probably also add the spices you would add if you were to make a pumpkin pie.
mom21kid2dogs replied: Another question, Monica SORRY!!! I got the pumpkin pie mix but it only came in one size can~30oz. Is this the right size? My plain cans of pumpkin are 15 oz. which seems more fitting with the ingredient list.
I know, I know . . . . . .go make thing already~right?
Jamison'smama replied: Good questions Cheryl--I'd like to know this as well. I am buying my groceries this evening and this is on my list.
luvmykids replied: It's the 30oz can, I know it seems like a lot but it makes it super moist
mom21kid2dogs replied: Thanks for your speedy reply!!!! I'm off to bake!
luvmykids replied: Hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
mom21kid2dogs replied: Thanks for the recipie, Monica!!! Stephen took it last night to a class he was teaching at church and it said it was a huge hit. Said everyone loved it and wanted the recipie. I think his nose was just a smidge out of joint, though. He's the "baker" in the family and they liked this the best of what he's brought! They did leave a piece so I could try it. It IS yummy!!!
luvmykids replied: I'm so glad they liked it! Poor Steven
luvmykids replied: Just to clarify....it's the 30 oz can of pumpkin pie filling, a bundt pan is recommended but you can use another type, and be sure to let the cake cool completely before glazing or the glaze just soaks in.
Jamison'smama replied: Mine is in the oven right now---Monica, did you imagine your recipe would be this popular?
luvmykids replied: I'm so glad, we all laugh about what a fool I sound like when I get on a kick with this cake, telling everyone I see to try it
onelovelife replied: I love anything with pumpkin.Thank you for the recipe
My2Beauties replied: Oooh yummy! This sounds delicious, I think I'll be making this in the near future.
