OMG SuperNanny last night

GavinsMommy replied: Those kids were bad!!! LOL!! But they got that way because the parents didn't do their job from the beginning...and that is being the parent! So they learned to be that way. Sad...hope everything is better now.

DH and I were talking about both of them last night and said that our kids could possibly do that ---once! I couldn't believe that the Mom on SuperNanny was so immature and resistant. It was clear where the kids got their attitudes from. I couldn't imagine having 5 kids under 6 though. I'd be in the nut house, for sure

Boys r us replied: Those kids were HORRIBLE!! I cannot even BEGIN to fathom living a life like that! It was CONSTANT hitting and chaos in their house.

But Lauren is right..they behaved that way because they'd been allowed to from the get go and I'll be the first to admit..a parent can loose control much quicker than you think...then it takes 5x the effort to regain the control. I'm sort of going through this now with Braedon, although, after watching that last night, my kids are BOTH angels!

TANNER'S MOM replied: The spitting would have been the worst to me. I know the kids and parents..are one thing. But they tried to SPIT on the NANNY!

She has way more self control then I do.

My life experience has proved to be soo different. In my upbringing SPITTING is the worse form of disrespect...and will get you Popped.

I know it ain't the way to be..but Lord how can you live like that dialy?

This was on Supernanny and it was 3 boys and a girl! The mother didn't have an attitude though she was from England as well and was very open to the nanny's suggestions, you are talking about Nanny 911!

Amen, if I ever spit on my mom like that I would have been slapped!

ammommy replied: Yes, I had them mixed up. Nanny 911 was parents with a 6 yo and 5yo quads. Mom had major attitude about making changes. At one point, she asked the Nanny "and what psychology class did you get that from?" when she was told that it wasn't normal for a 5yo to hit their parents. Get this, all of the kids had TV in their bedrooms. At 5 and 6!

I have to say that the parents on Super Nanny were great at sticking to the naughty zones. That would have been tough to mutlitask.

mammag replied: I don't get why some of these people call them. The Nanny 911 mom was so rude to Nanny Deb. I wouldn't have been able to stay in the house with that woman. The mom on Super Nanny almost seemed afraid of her kids. They were close to evil the way they destroyed things and man the spitting would have done me in. Like someone else said, I would have been smacked silly if I did that to my parents.

One thing about these shows, it makes my kids look like saints. Kristen watches it with me and is shocked by what the kids do also. I hope it doesn't scare her away from having kids one day.

If Emma's mom (girl I babysit) doesn't watch she's going to end up having Emma like that. She already smacks her mom and throws some awful fits for her that she never does for me. I keep telling her to watch the show but she won't. You kind of feel bad for the kids too because they have been raised to be that way.

I was at the pool yesterday for my son's swimming lessons and this child (probably 8 or 9) was so loud and obnoxious. He was yelling at his mom and throwing balls at the other kids, hitting them and making them cry. It was crazy. He threw a ball and almost hit my baby. I said something to the kid and then walked over to his mom. She said she couldn't control him. I said, apparently you don't try very hard. I was not trying to be mean, but she said nothing to him. That mom, she needs Super Nanny......bad!

I agree that she needs to nip it in the bud right now! Ugh spitting is so disgusting and did you see where that one boy just peed on the floor ??? Oh my God I would have so spanked him for that, and then when they were cussing like that, their mouths would have gotten washed out by soap. I still to this day hardly say curse words in front of my parents out of respect! Kids nowadays - sheesh!

Spitting is just rank... like Mel, where I am from, spitting is the worst disrespect... Gosh... my brother spit in my face once about a year ago cuz he was mad at me... my dad got a hold of him.

Isabelita replied: I know the one your are talking about but I didn't see the spitting, I only saw half of it. Those were not nice kids lol, but I blame the parents. That man was horrible! He sent that girl in the naughty zone for laughing!?!
