OMG - did you see House last night???

hopefulmomtobe wrote: House was sooo sweet last night, not the actual doctor of course...lol but the show. House himself is an a$$ but I still like him. But, the show last night was soo sweet with that little 21 week old baby in the womb that needed surgery and the little hand came out and touched Dr House. Ohhh it was soo sweet. He was calling the baby a fetus as to not relate it to a human being, but the moment it touched his hand, all bets were off and that was a baby at that point. It was so neat to watch.

Course my rugged hubby wasnt having none of that...he had to go and watch "The deadleast catch" ohhhh yea, sooooo deadly!!!! WHATEVER!!!! LOL

lisar replied: OH MAN I missed it. I forgot it even came on. Now I wanna see it.

amynicole21 replied: Yes, it was so good. I wonder if he'll give in and get Cuddy pregnant now wink.gif

lovemykiddies replied: Aw man, I missed it! That sounds so sweet, though. I love the show. I think the most touching episode I've seen was with the severly autistic boy. I loved the ending where he made eye contact with House...it just touched me for some reason wub.gif

ediep replied: yes, watched it

it was great

Kentuckychick replied: Yes bawling.gif

And at the end when she thanked him and he said "Don't thank me... I would have killed your baby" bawling.gif

Any episode with babies or kids absolutely tugs at my heartstrings... I still cannot watch the one where the mom ends up killing her infant. unsure.gif

Tis an awesome show though

sunrosejenn replied: I missed that. Did it swtich nights? I thought it was on Monday nights?

hopefulmomtobe replied:
OH, I didnt see that one! What the heck, that is so sad! Why did the mom kill her baby!

Kirstenmumof3 replied: wub.gif Yes Emily and I watched it lastnight and I thought it was a grea episode!

mummy2girls replied: OH CRAP i didnt watch it! is it on again this week?

mom2my2cuties replied: Shelly sometimes USA replays the episode on Friday nights.

But yeah funny you should mention this, i just finished watching it....Thank goodness for DVR...I was bawling when the baby touched Dr House. And you are right, he is a donkey, but he portrays a decent doctor.

Kentuckychick replied:
It's the episode from season 2 called "Forever"... a mother tries to kill her baby in the bathtub (they thought she was having a seizure). And then while she's in the hospital they leave the baby in her room and she tries to suffocate him... he later dies I believe of complications arrising from his disease + what she'd done to him.

They end up finding out that she and the baby had celiac disease which led to her getting stomach cancer and having psych problems (voices were telling her to kill him).

It's really sad because at the end her husband forgives her (he's an alcoholic and wasn't paying any attention to her condition) and says that they could try for more children and she says that she isn't going to treat her cancer and that she can't live with what she did that she wants to die... bawling.gif

I think it's by far the saddest episode I've ever seen.

hopefulmomtobe replied:
OH OH....did she try to sufficate him with a pillow or something like that? I think I did see parts of it.

Danalana replied: I LOVE that show! My husband and I both had tears in our eyes, though he was trying to not look at me.
I love how sarcastic House is...that's my kind of comedy biggrin.gif

Kentuckychick replied:
Yeah... that's the one... *sniff*

House and Foreman realize the baby isn't in the bassinet and run in to discover it

flirtycuddle replied: She had the baby in bed with her and put a pillow over his face. And like the doctors see and stop her but it was to late and he never recovered from it even when in NICU

kimberley replied: huh.gif the above-mentioned ep is not the one i saw last night. i think the OP is referring to the one about a pg woman whose baby is killing her in utero. making her liver shut down, lungs etc. they ended up doing surgery in the womb and putting the baby back afterward for a normal birth. mom and baby were both ok.

i totally agree about it being a great ep! i think House and Cuddy are gonna make a baby lol.

there was a real story about a doc doing in utero surgery a few years back where the baby (also around 20ish weeks) grabbed his finger....

article

Kentuckychick replied:
You're right Kimberley... I was just discussing the fact that any of the episodes with babies in them just kill me anymore... and that particular episode from last season was the one I thought of (it was the worst I think).

The one with the autistic child bothered me too though...

I just can't watch things with kids anymore... And I say I'm going to be a child life specialist!! blush.gif

Danalana replied: Ha, i thought i wanted to work at St. jude children's hospital. Riiiiiight.....with my big ol' tender heart, i would never make it.

kimberley replied:
blush.gif i am slow these days. i was totally disturbed by the ep you mentioned. i can't watch stuff like that without getting emotional. SVU makes me wanna jump thru the screen and payback the sickos who hurt kids. mad.gif

My2Beauties replied: I saw it and nearly lost it when that little baby grabbed his hand...oh man that was the so sweet. He didn't want to let it go and did you see him rubbing the baby's fingers....oh that episode was so good.

DillsMommy replied: whats house?? Don't think I've ever heard of it... dunno.gif

mom2my2cuties replied: It's a show on FOX on Tuesday nights. Really great show about a cantankerous doctor who happens to simply be the best. He and his 3 underlings study and solve the most extreme medical cases. House is pretty much a jerk throughout the show, but honestly, if I were ever in the situation some of these people were in, I would put up with to recieve the best treatment.

I agree with you guys, I think something is going to happen between he and Cuddy. I also think there might be more to Cameron & Chase than they are letting on.
