I think it is more the fault of the judges. Whenever it is apparent that the judges have a favorite, and Simon says "you deserve to win", it's like the kiss of death. (I am pretty sure they were the demise of Chris Daugherty on AI too). People want to prove that they pick the winner, not the judges... kind of like when your toddler declares his/her independence. And, when the producers allowed Katy Perry to wear a cape with Adam's name on it, well, that was like rubbing it in everyone's face.
mckayleesmom replied: Sorry...I could barely tolerate Adam and that screaching thing he did. Sounded too much like Iron Maiden to me and I'm not an Iron Maiden fan. I was on another board that really liked him in the beginning but alot of complaints started because of that high pitched screach he does...Totally killled it for me. Kris is much more my music style..so I was so happy he won.

stella6979 replied: I definitely think Adam had the better voice and was by far a better performer. It's ok though, the runner up always seems to do better than the actual winner anyways. A few months from now we'll be saying, Kris who?
My2Beauties replied: I agree I think Adam has an amazing voice and is actually a wonderful "performer" more so than Kris. I think Jeanne pinned it, the black nail polish and the rumors of him being gay/bisexual etc.. probably had a lot to do with some people not voting for him. I think Adam will outsell Kris in record sales.

My boyfriend has said the last 2 weeks that kris would win because hes more like most ppls type compared to adam who is more the rocker type. Adam will definately be better off then kris when it comes to sales. I can say that i will actually go to a store and buy adams album rather then burn it off the internet.
Oh and what a crappy night it was for me! Adam lost and the Cavs lost by 1 point!!! Man o Man!!!!

Same here, except I really wanted either Danny or Allison to win.  OR Alexis Grace, who got voted off WAY too soon and should have been saved by the judges! I liked Kris ok too though. I do think Adam is talented, but I didn't like his style.... and how he kept sticking his tongue way out!! 
TLCDad replied: My favorite was the red head. I liked Adam at first, especially his performance of "Tracks of My Tears" but the screaming really changed my opinion and I knew Kris would win. Kris definitely grew in the competition. His version of the writers song was much better.
But no-one in any season has yet to even compare to Carrie Underwood in terms of vocal talent. I just purchased both of Kellie Pickler's albums off iTunes and am really starting to like her music as well. I also purchased Daughtry's album and it is very good.
