Maddie&EthansMom wrote: Christmas shopping!! I bought Maddie some Princess and the Pauper Barbie stuff today. I'm having the hardest time with her this year. I just don't know what to buy her. Anyone have ideas on what to get a 4 year old girlie girl for Christmas?
DansMom replied: Dang, you're way ahead of me! I have to get through his birthday first.
Kaitlin'smom replied: cograts, i am getting close to being done
as for Ideas no clue...have you asked her?
5littleladies replied: Yay!! I love Christmas shopping!
I can tell you some of the things that my 4 year old likes to play with. She loves Barbies, dress up clothes, My little ponies, Care bears, Tea Party sets, She loves to play with her wooden train set...um......Oohh-Polly Pockets are a big thing for her right now-The kind that You can dress. She has an American Girl doll that she loves to death. The list could go on and on. Have fun shopping!!
MomToJade&Jordan replied: LOL!!!!! I started last month actually. I am waiting for the movies to come in the mail.
Hey maybe you can get her some dress up clothes? I loved playing dress up when I was a little girl.
Boys r us replied: Good girl!! I'm practically done, now I can sit back, relax, and watch the rest of you with this chicken race,ha ha!
kimberley replied: good for you! i haven't started at all. not sure what to get a 4yo girl... maybe strawberry shortcake stuff, dvds, one of those tape recorders with a mic so she can sing? let us know what you get her
DansMom replied: I was just shopping for a 4 year old girl, and the woman at the store recommended something called "Groovy Girl" dolls. To me they looked a bit old for 4? They were cloth, but dressed kind of like mall rats with little purses and punky hairdos. Since this little girl's mom was a conservative Christian, I said "NO WAY" would the mom go for that LOL! So I started to look at the games---it seems to me that 4 years old is a good age for starting to learn about taking turns and winning or losing, that sort of thing, with the simpler board games that are out there (the type where you turn a dial and go four spaces, for example), and maybe a deck of cards---a good age for "Go Fish!"
Maddie&EthansMom replied:
She wants EVERYTHING she sees!!
Thanks for the ideas! She LOVES Polly Pockets, but I'm not buying anymore. She has something like 13 dolls!!!! I knew 3littleladies would be a big help!! I also bought her a talking Care Bear...something she has mentioned several times. Wooden train set is a good idea as well as the American Girl doll. I might buy her some more dress up clothes, too. Then that might be it other than stocking stuffers.
Ethan is easy.
Kaitlin'smom replied: well hay it was worth a try
Josie83 replied: My little niece Jodi is the same age as Maddie and I find her so easy to buy for. She loves us getting her clothes and dolls, and books! She absolutely loves books, and I like getting them for her because I think they're something that'll last and don't involve a TV! i can't believe you've started Xmas shopping, you're so organised! xx
Kirstenmumof3 replied: How about dress up clothes, I know both of my kids love playing dress up! Now that Halloween is over you can probably pick up costumes really cheap and all those accesseries: crowns, wands, frilly boas etc. You could get a really fancy big hat box and fill it with all kinds of dress up stuff!
darrylswifeskylersmom replied: man u ladies are organized!
