Oh GREAT!!!

mckayleesmom wrote: Mckaylee just opened the front door and yelled......"mommy, You bought me a puppy?" and in walks a little pug dog.... wacko.gif

I asked The little boy accross the street if it was his and he said no.....and his mom said she didn't know either, but it slept in their yard last night... laugh.gif

So when dh gets home...I am off to find owners .

mckayleesmom replied: Oh man...she just ran in and woke up Russell to tell him "Russell...we got a new pup"... huh.gif

Calimama replied: Awwwwww. I can see this ending with you getting a new family pet! wink.gif

mom2my2cuties replied: rolling_smile.gif

you are gonna have a fight on your hands when it comes to send pup to his real family!

TheOaf66 replied: wow, good luck trying to get rid of it now laugh.gif

cameragirl21 replied: but didn't you say you wanted a dog before, like a labrador or some arabic dog or something?
here's your chance and this one came right to you... wink.gif happy.gif

mckayleesmom replied:
Yes...I just explained to Mckaylee and Russell that if the doggy has a home already...then we need to find his owners because there might be a little girl or boy out there that misses their dog. Right now she can take care of him and if we don't find its owners...then she can probably have him.

My only problem is....We are leaving tomorow for 3 days for dh's ATC....Where am I going to put a dog? I guess I can put her in the backyard with food and water and leave the screened room open for him.

mckayleesmom replied: Russell just came up to me and said "Tate you" and gave me a hug........CRAP. Now Im hoping that the dog doesn't have owners.

cameragirl21 replied: you don't have someone that could watch him? maybe come in twice a day to let him out?
a cat you can leave by itself but i don't know about a dog. the other option is to leave him in your screened in porch and put some newspapers in the corner for him to poop and pee on...yes, you'll come home to a mess but if you leave him outside he may get scared or try to dig his way out or something, like dig a hole under your fence and then other weird animals will come in thru that hole. or he could pick a fight with raccoons or oppossums.

cameragirl21 replied: also, if you leave the dog outside with food then it will attract all kinds of animals like raccoons, opossums, stray cats and other dogs and they'll eat all the food and the dog will go hungry. i know this isn't what you had in mind since you're leaving tomorrow but i feed stray cats and i've seen all kinds of strange animals in my yard from that--gigantic toads (that are poisonous), oppossums, raccoons, foxes, etc, not to mention more cats. dry.gif

gr33n3y3z replied: Awww I see these kids getting a puppy if this one has a home lol

mckayleesmom replied: I just called the Humane society and nobody has been looking for him there........

Mckaylee just named him Balto. rolleyes.gif

mckayleesmom replied: He also has a cut on his back that looks like it hasn't been treated...he stinks and I don't think he is fixed.....Although Im not an expert in dog balls... biggrin.gif

mom2my2cuties replied: Since you are going to be out of town - call the local animal shelter and make sure no one is looking for him, and since you wont be home this weekend, it will be an opportunity for someone to call the shelter looking for him and they can keep your information on file, and then when you get back, you can find out if he has an onwer that way.

ETA - it sounds like he might have been missing for a while or never had an owner though from your last post.

Calimama replied:
Awwwwwwwwww wub.gif

mckayleesmom replied:
I already called....nobody is looking for him..l. sad.gif

Boo&BugsMom replied: Oh goodness, Troy would just love it if he came home to a new puppy in the house, no kidding. He's been yanking my chain about a dog for years now and I wont give in until we get a bigger house with a fenced in yard. What kind is it?

mom2my2cuties replied: Yeah I think I was posting as you posted that smile.gif And then I edited after I saw your last post about the cut and things.

Hillbilly Housewife replied:
Problem with that is that dogs are like horses in that they will eat all they can in one sitting...or until you take the food away. Cats will eat when they're hungry... dogs will just snarf all the food. Can you maybe hire a teenager from the area to come feed it once a day?

mckayleesmom replied: I think I might ask the people accross the street if their 5 year old will come check on him a couple times a day....he is pretty mature for his age.

mckayleesmom replied:
Its a pug.

C&K*s Mommie replied: If the little boy across the street and his mother cannot step in, I will ask Chris about watching him for you guys till you return.

Just lemme know.

mckayleesmom replied:
That would be awesome...Let me know.....I will give him a bath and stuff first of course.......If not...The little boy accross the street will probably be willing.

He is really good with kids too.

CantWait replied: wub.gif wub.gif How touching. Looks like this little guy found you for a good reason.

kimberley replied:
wub.gif i agree. hope you get to keep him. it was meant to be if he has no owners. wub.gif

holley79 replied: Oh sorry Bri Mckaylee said she needed a puppy I brought it for her. LOL

jacobsmama replied: awwww wub.gif Hope you find the owner!

mom21kid2dogs replied:
LOL! This is how we got our last 2 dogs. We "looked" for Dudley's owners for 13 years laugh.gif
My husband says that we're the "Hotel California" as far as dogs are concerned!
