I start my new position the end of this week..but this older lady whose desk is next to mine, she's driving me BATTTTTTY!

Seriously, she weighs 100 pounds soaking wet and all she talks about is how overweight she is and needing to lose weight, it's truly a mental hangup with her..a sickness if you will. Her newest trick is chewing nicorette gum to supress her appetite. This is the same woman who is so broke she can't EVER afford to go to a $5 lunch with us or contribute $2 a month to our birthday fund etc...yet b/c she thinks it will help her lose weight, she's spending an insane amount of money on nicorette gum?!? I wouldn't care if she kept it to herself..but I have to hear about it all day and about how nicotine is good for you and it improves your short term memory
I feel badly b/c I can't stand her yet aside from the obsessive behavior about dieting, she's a lovely lady with a heart of gold. But this has taken it's toll on me and she's already started in this morning!!!

Ohh...just a funny about her 3 years ago for Christmas, she gave some people chocolate dipped biscotti which was great, but she gave 5 or 6 chunkier people in our department a box of slimfast bars Talk about an uproar!!! and thank goodness I got biscotti b/c that was the christmas after Brae was born and I would have cried!! LOL

Anyways, two more days and I'll be OUT OF HERE!!!!!!! Although I'll probably have a whole new set of psychos to deal with and won't even know who to steer clear of!

**nicotine does something to you regarding the release of serotonin, or something like that..... so she may have read the same thing I did. I don't think it's good FOR you... just has something to do with serotonin... i can fiond the article if you're interested.
