Oh, Wow! - Look at the suprise I got on Sunday!

I do plan to get her spayed after the baby is weaned. I still can't figure out how in the world I didn't know she wasn't pregnant. She never did get fat and have that pregnant look cats get.

Oh, well I guess it is was a big suprise for us. We do plan on keeping the kitten and when it is old enough will also be spayed or neutered.

I just feel like a bad cat mom, she was never suppose to get pregnant. I was going get her fixed next month. But guess that has to wait now.

Anyways here is the newest baby to our family. I have no idea what we will name him/her yet. I thought maybe "Wowser" since he/she was a suprise. I seen the name on a cat forum and it caught my eye. I guess we will have to wait until the kitten gets a little older before we decided on a name.

I've watched so many animal births it isn't even funny. It is a precious moment, though. Glad you were there for it.

3xsthefun replied: Yeah, she only had one it was a big suprise to me. When I knew she was in labor I thought for sure she would have 2 or 3. But nope just the one little baby was born. I'm relieved though, because it really is hard to find good homes for kittens.



Momof3inMe- You will know when she is about ready. She will start searching for a place to have the babies. They usually search for a dark place to have them.

Only reason I knew my cat was in labor I felt her have a contraction while she was laying on my lap. She was being very loveable that morning too.

luvmykids replied: I had a cat once that only had 2, I had no clue until she went under the china cabinet and did some yowling (I thought she was in heat ) and then heard the tiny little meows a little bit later.

I love the pics you have to show up when the eyes are open they are so cute.....then they get big...

My cat is stuck to me like glue. I got her bed ready last night. I am thinking with in the next 2 weeks she should give birth.

That is good you got her bed ready for when she has kittens. Emilee stuck to me like glue also. So I'm sure your cat will be ready pretty soon.

Yeah, I know. My parents had a couple cats have kittens before. So I pretty much knew what a pregnant cat looked like.
