Oh, gawd!!! - This isn't going to happen
MyBrownEyedBoy wrote: I was just looking at a calender figuring out when my weeks off are and realized that my birthday is in 2-1/2 weeks. And it's a big one, 3-0. And Aaron will be out of town on an overnight so I'll be "celebrating" home alone with Logan. How much of a bummer is that? And it's not even a work related trip Aaron's going on. He's going to the state democrat convention. He'll be partying on my birthday, without me. It makes me kind of mad, I mean, I get one special day a year. And he isn't going to be there and my family all lives too far away to get here. Man, now I bummed myself out.
amymom replied: Awww Kelly, I am sorry.
I think you should pick a new day to celebrate BEFORE he leaves and you are off from work and celebrate. Then on your real birthday, you and Logan go out to dinner (not fast food) something fun where they wait on you, even if it is just a small diner or something. And get a cake too!!! Then celebrate AGAIN when Aaron returns. I think make it a big deal, Make him pay extra cuz he will be away on the actual day.
Just my 2cents.
MyBrownEyedBoy replied: I like the way you think, Anne. I will be working the week prior to my b-day, but I do have the actual day off. I could almost understand it if it was for work, but he CHOSE to go away to this shindig. Knowing it was my birthday. I am very upset with him, but saying it to him will only cause a fight and I'll end up backing down and feeling bad for trying to "keep him from his dreams". Well, I never signed up to be a politician's wife.
amymom replied: Well, Kelly, you just need to have him take you out this week. and the week after he returns. Just don't get mad .... ....GET EVEN Celebrate the whole month of June! Heck you only turn 30 once!
My3LilMonkeys replied: ITA - make him celebrate before and after he goes, and have your own little party the day of! 30 is an important one!

gr33n3y3z replied: Aww Kelly that stinks sorry hun Maybe you can figure the next night or something along that line.
redchief replied: Aww Kelly... You don't look anywhere near that!!! You'll get through it.
ashtonsmama replied: I'm so sorry Kelly! But we'll celebrate with you in spirit! Sorry-that doesn't help. I wish we could all get together and throw a surprise 30th party for you!
MyBrownEyedBoy replied: Thanks, Ed. But I think I am starting to look it. However, I've found that a bit of fat makes an excellent wrinkle filler. Maybe I'll never look old. LOL. And thanks to all of you who will celebrate in spirit with me.
Sarah&Mackenzie replied: Sorry to hear that Kelly. I am sure you will have fun with it just being you and Logan.
JP&KJMOM replied: Kelly, I agree with Anne on doing before and after with Aaron. And the idea of you and Logan doing something special on the actual day is great too.
BTW 30 is not so bad!
TheOaf66 replied: so that's when you get a sitter and go out with the girls and have a fun night yourself
luvmykids replied: Kelly, Kelly, Kelly. Have you been reading my diary again?
I'll celebrate in spirit with you too, and maybe even open the bottle of wine I've been saving for a special occassion (why can't I ever spell that word?). I've only had it for about 4 years now .... You turning 30 sounds like a darn special occassion!
A&A'smommy replied: I'm sorry honey does he even realize that day is your birthday? and could you go with him maybe?
PrairieMom replied: Now THAT is a good idea! Or you could always buy your self something REALLY nice (think diamonds) while he is away and can't do anything about it!
MyBrownEyedBoy replied: How perfect would that be? I've had my eye on a necklace for a while now...
And, Monica, no I haven't been reading your diary, but I've been seeing similarities too. Maybe they're distant cousins or something.
BAC'sMom replied: Sorry Kelly
Can I look you up when I turn 40!
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Oh that stinks Kelly, but you know that we are always here to celebrate with you...so you're not alone!!! 30 is not so bad...really...no really! I had just had Wil when I turned 30, so it was a good year for me! And so far 31 has been pretty good too.....
We will party with you!
holley79 replied: If I were there I would let Shawn keep the kids and we would go paint up the town.
