Oh my gosh! - Explosions in London

Josie83 wrote: Please keep London in your thoughts . . . there have been some explosions on our underground this morning and a bomb has exploded on a bus in the city centre ohmy.gif ohmy.gif ohmy.gif

Its thought that the bomb on the bus was deliberate but that the explosions on the underground were caused by a power surge and were NOT deliberate. The underground's been closed. Its so scary! From the news it looks like the whole city's in chaos.

Let me just add that its nowhere near where we live, we don't liv right in the centre of London. but still, its not that far away and I can't wait to go and pick Cassie up from nursery and bring her home sad.gif unsure.gif

Josie83 replied: There has been another bus bombed now too . . . this is so scary unsure.gif sad.gif xx

mammag replied: I'm watching it on the news right now. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. It's scarey!

MM'sMama replied: OMG that is so scary honey I am so sorry I will keep London and everyone in my thoughts bawling.gif

mom2tripp replied: I'm watching it too---how scared you all must be and now they are saying it was a terror attack--sending lots of prayers your way

amynicole21 replied: I'm watching the news coverage on this now. Horrible.

amymom replied: Very scary, I am sorry you are dealing with this. Prayers with you and all of London right now.

Boys r us replied: This is so horrible!! Everyone in London are in my thoughts! I think all of us from the US can relate to this tragedy, it hasn't been that long since our corner of the world was shaken up on a horrific tuesday morning!

Stay safe!

Jamielou replied: THat is so scary....I hope you guys stay safe sad.gif

EmilyandPhoebesMommy replied: I know, its so scary. I originally come from England - we are just in Canada for a few years due to dh work. Lots of my family live there but thankfully no-one I know I knew has been injured that I know of. My prayers are going to the families who have injured friends and relatives or who have had to cope with a death.

booey2 replied: Glad to hear that you are not in or around that horrific scene today. I too was woken up by DH this morning with "dear the boys are up and by the way there are terrorist attacks in London today". I was like excuse me ohmy.gif , back up a second, repeat what you just said about London. Prayers and postive thoughts to all over there during this trying time.

My2Beauties replied: I just heard this on the news this morning on the radio coming to work! This is absolutely horrible ohmy.gif Our thoughts and prayers are with London this morning, this hits home for us Americans, we know how you feel when you're attacked on your own soil. It's awful.

Josie83 replied: Thanks very much everyone. We were shaken by 9/11 too, but obviously it is so much worse when it is RIGHT on your doorstep sad.gif Thanks for all of your thoughts xx

coasterqueen replied: OMG! DH's cousin came over to tell me because he knew we'd be watching cartoons, not the news. rolleyes.gif I'm so glad to hear from you Josie, I was thinking of you all the way to work this morning.

London is in my p&pt's. grouphug.gif

BTW, I'm hearing here that the bombs on the subway were terrorist? Not true?

MissyKay2005 replied: Scary! Prays are with you and your family and all of London.

Josie83 replied:
Yeah, I think so. They were reported first thing as being due to power surges on the line . . . but the National Grid have said there were no such surges and they have been put down to terrorism sad.gif

I read on my world news home page that an Al-Quaeda sub-group have taken credit for all the attacks in response to us going to war with Iraq . . . but I don't know how true that is.

Thanks so much for thinking of me Karen, it means a lot smile.gif xx

jcc64 replied: Being from NY, it really brought back a very sick feeling. The dazed looks on the victims' faces were eerily identical to those of the 9/11 victims. I hope and pray that the casualties are minimal, although one life lost is one too many. Our love and support are with you, London.
God it just makes me so sad.

And Josie, kwim about just wanting to get to your baby. On 9/11, all the parents just showed up at my sons' school immediately following the attacks, wanting to gather their children close to them. I think that feeling is universal.

JessC replied: Oh man! This is bad, I was gonna ask you josie if you saw it happen, i was thinking about how you and your family where handling it.

London will be in my prayers, I hope things dont get worse over there... grouphug.gif grouphug.gif

MommyToAshley replied: I just heard about this on the news and imemdiately came on here to see if you had posted. I wasn't sure where exactly you lived. I was so relieved to see a post from you.

What a horrible, sick, and scary thing to happen. bawling.gif I will never understand the rational behind terrorism and the desire to hurt innocent people. My thoughts and prayers are with all of the families in London.

grouphug.gif Give sweet little Cassie and extra hug from Ashley and myself.

stanleygirl replied: I am so relieved to know you are ok, and my heart goes out to you, and everyone in London, I can't believe this is happening again. bawling.gif

Words cannot express how sad I am that this has happened grouphug.gif

5littleladies replied: This makes me sick and angry. I don't understand why people do this to other people. My thoughts and prayers are with you today Josie and everyone else in London. grouphug.gif grouphug.gif

mckayleesmom replied: Oh Josie...I will be praying for all of London today...that is horrible....When will this stop?

Maddie&EthansMom replied: Josie all of you across the river are in my thoughts and prayers. grouphug.gif Scotty just called and said "Have you heard from Josie? Is she okay?" I told him that I thought so b/c you didn't live in the city and wouldn't be traveling by mas transit. I'm glad your family is safe. I am thinking about you. Give Cassie a squeeze from me when you see her.

A&A'smommy replied: OMG I hate terriosim when will they stop!! sad.gif (((((HUGS))))) give Cassie a BIG hug from me and Alyssa!!

Kaitlin'smom replied: Josie,

sorry I have nto gotten to respond sooner (darn work gets in the way). I hard at 7a about it and I was so sick and sad and glad your okay. I just dont understand why they feel the need to do this, and something I never will. Take care and give each of you an extra hug for me and Kaitlin.

Catherine's Mommy replied: Prayers to those with friends & family in London!

Josie83 replied: Thanks everyone . . . it realy means so much to have you thinking of me. Aimee, I can't believe Scotty said that! Tell him thank you so much!!

And I have barely put Cassie down all day today, Jason and I have been grabbing hold of her and kissing her since we got her from nursery. So I think all of you who told me to give her a hug from you are covered wink.gif

I am still in shock about it all. it is just too horrible . . . I hate living in London anyway, and its for reasons like this why. I was just telling die that I've been pushing for Jason to let us move and I'm hoping that this will make him change his mind. I've been brought up here all my life but it is not a nice place to bring up a little girl sad.gif

Anyway, I'm off on a tangent. I just wanted to let you know just how much all your thoughts and kind words mean to me. Its amazing to think of you all thinking of us at a time like this. Thanks you smile.gif xx

mummy2girls replied: OMG! i just heard about this. I was watching carttons today witht he little girl and going out to play all day. God im way behind in the news! I am so sorry this is happening...give cassie a kiss from jenna and me...((((HUGS))))

A&A'smommy replied: Awww hun I hope he will let you move that is SO scary!! ((((HUGS))) BTW how are things looking now? I haven't had a chance to look at the news all day sad.gif

MomToJade&Jordan replied: I am relieved to see that you and yours are all right Josie. When I heard about what happened my immediate thoughts were of you. I wish I could have been on here sooner. My thoughts and prayers are with all of London tonight.
