Oh wow....so ahead of myself

Danalana wrote: Well, I'm already driving myself crazy. I'm not even 5 weeks along, but I'm already thinking about how sad it will be when he/she starts getting big. And then I think about how we need to have one every couple of years, but I won't be able to do that realistically...not at my age. Hehe, I'm nutso wacko.gif
I just need to enjoy the ride.

Miranda1127 replied: i remember my first day of h.s, my aunt (who had just graduated a year or 2 before) said to me enjoy it b/c it goes by so fast. i just blew her off. i mean it was four years no way would it fly by. kids are the same way. they are so tiny and completly dependent on you one moment, and the next they are telling you on the first day of pre-school (in my case anyway) to drop them off in the school parking lot they can handel it from there. and now she wants the school bus to take her to and from school and she is only headed to K.
my advice to youis stop thinking about it and enjoy each day b/c before you know it you have helped them become a strong and independent young person and while you beam with pride you will be nursing the hand print across your face in secrete biggrin.gif .

take your time

Jackie012007 replied: LOL sounds like when I was pregnant! I would drive myself crazy obsessing over her - just wait until you get close to finding out the sex of the baby (that is, if you want to know) - oh my god I didn't sleep, I was so anxious to find out!

I'm like that now - I cannot believe how mig my little baby is getting! It goes by way too fast - she's starting baby food, she babbles all the time, she's so aware of what's around her, she even plays with toys! sad.gif stop growing!!!!

Danalana replied: Oh, we definitely wanna know the sex. part of me would love the element of surprise, hearing the doctor say, "You have a baby _____!" The other part of me can't stand to wait for surprises. Besides, it would be so nice to start talking to the baby before it comes...being able to use the name you picked out. I know there's the possibility that the baby might not cooperate, so I guess that would give me my surprise emlaugh.gif

Jackie012007 replied:
yeah we had to wait because Miss Carly wouldn't cooperate. we got a pretty good girly parts shot at an u/s but when you are having a girl, no one wants to give you a definite answer. So maybe you'll have a girl and some part of the mystery will be there - I remember when I was having my cpsection and I heard her cry, and I yelled "IS SHE STILL A GIRL???" and they all laughed and told me she still was emlaugh.gif

rolling_smile.gif oh man I am so excited for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! rolling_smile.gif being a mom for the first time is the best thing that has ever happened to me, it totally changes your life, you will love it! hug.gif

Danalana replied: I have no doubt that I'll love it wub.gif

lisar replied: Slow down and enjoy the ride. They grow up so fast. Take lots of pictures of everything. I cant believe that Lexi will be in the first grade next year. I still remember the day I found out I was pg with her. It just all goes by SO FAST. Just slow down and enjoy it.

Danalana replied: Will do smile.gif

redplaydoh replied: The first time I was pregnant I just knew I was having a girl, I had never considered anything else. When we did the u/s Lucas was very proud of his boy parts and was showing them off. I cried... I so wanted a girl to dress up in cute girlie things. I said that there were no "cute" boy clothes... I was just a mess. The poor sono tech didn't know what to think. DH took me out after and we went on a shopping spree for cute boy clothes and we found tons of really cute stuff.

When Lucas was born I asked if he was still a boy and he was...

I got pregnant with Bryan when Lucas was 5 months old and we went for his u/s and had the same tech and she remembered me. She did the scan and asked if we wanted to know.... (with a fearful look in her eye) and I said only if it's a boy. She was startled because she knew the last time I wanted a girl... I laughed and said I hoped it was another boy because we had tons of cute boy clothes, some that Lucas never even got to wear.

Danalana replied: laugh.gif "with a fearful look in her eye"

I don't care what we have, although I would love to have one of each.

lisar replied:
Well heres hoping for twins... One boy and one girl. biggrin.gif

Danalana replied: YES!! We would love twins!

Crystalina replied: One of each is great. That's why I know I'm done. wub.gif I'm content.

And the obsessing over them growing up will only get worse as they grow. Izabella is getting ready to graduate from Kindergarten and it's just so saaaaaad! bawling.gif
