When they did the flashbacks in the 1st episode you saw where Derrek threw all of Addison's things out the front door. He had just found out what her and his best friend (McSteamy). I think he also showed up last season and was hitting on Meridith and McDreamy punched him. (Do I recall correctly ladies?)
