Ok, I think I can say this without jinxing myself

Really, just letting him be until he was physically ready made all the difference. We tried a bit last spring, but it was a no go. This time around, he really took to it.

MyBrownEyedBoy replied: Naomi, I had originally said that I didn't want a 3 year old in diapers. Well, I had one. But not for too long. His birthday was just in September. Thomas will get there.

Thanks! That helps alot. He'll be 3 in March so I think I'll back off until then. Did you teach him sitting down or standing up? Part of our problem is that he's very unsure about sitting on it so we're letting him "go" when Daddy goes....see if that helps.
