Ok I think its safe to say....
MoonMama wrote: Braedin is allergic to peanuts like me. Although he doesn't seem to be as bad from how he reacted but I don't want to find out if his allergy is as bad as mine (I have an epi pen and all). He has had a little bit of peanut butter at my mom's 3 times now and has broken out in hive all 3 times. Poor guy, but thank god its just been hives.
Calimama replied: Scary scary! Are you going to take him to get allergy tested?
CantWait replied: Poor little guy. Thank goodness it wasn't a more serious reaction. At least you know.
MoonMama replied: I was just thinking about that. I don't know if they have to be a certain age to do it or not. I wasn't tested until I was 5 or so, so I have know idea.
Calimama replied: Miabella was tested at a year for wheat/gluten allergies!
MoonMama replied: Then definitely! I want him tested, esp since I am allergic to so much myself.
Calimama replied: Yeah DH and I are not allergic to ANYTHING I don't know how Miabella is...
luvmykids replied: Poor guy Like Marie said, I'm so glad the reaction wasn't worse. I hope thats his only allergy
MommyToAshley replied: yikes! Poor Kid. I'm glad you know, I probably don't have to tell you that it's a pretty important allergy to know about. Peanuts and peanut oil are in a lot of different products, but again, I probably don't have to tell you that. I'd definately consult and allergist.
Nina J replied: How scary.
Are children more likely to be allergic to something if their parent(s) are? I am allergic to penicillin, like a lot of people in my family. I wonder if my kids will be?
sparkys2boys replied: Well its to bad the he's allergic but on the good side of it, at least you know now and not have a worse side effect at school or something when he is older.
HuskerMom replied: That's too bad! At least you know now though.
