Ok I'm positive I can feel the baby kicking.... - lol embarassing story
Hillbilly Housewife wrote: I've been feeling the "flutters", at least I think it's the flutters. I'm about 9 weeks pregnant, 3rd child.
Today, I could feel them really strongly - I'm sure that's what it is. So here's my embarassing story - I wanted to see if I could "feel" the flutters with my hand.... and the easiest way to do that is to lie down.....
So picture my boss wanting to talk to me - coming by my desk - and seeing my legs on the floor. Se thought I'd fainted or something.... and realized I was jt lying there. I didn't see her, cuz I was looking at my hand on my belly.....
She actually knelt down to try to feel.... lol

GavinsMommy replied: Are you sure it's not just gas??
They say you can't feel the baby until at least around 14 weeks because it's not up against the uterine wall yet so kicks would not be felt because they couldn't reach to the wall for you to feel it...or be strong enough...
But who knows! Funny though! If I were your boss...........
5littleladies replied: Lol at your boss seeing you!!
I could have swore I felt my baby move at around 11 weeks-too early they say, I know, but I think when you have been pregnant multiple times you are more in tune to what baby feels like.
Hillbilly Housewife replied: I'm SURE it's not gas...
I heard that too. But I might also be 12 weeks and not 9... I don't know that yet!!!
mammag replied: I also felt it much earlier with the last pregnancy. I did feel it more when I was full and then wouldn't feel anything for a while.
That is a very funny image!!!!
dueoctober3rd05 replied: OMG......I Felt movements of bubbly, fluttery feelinz in my belly as early as 9 weeks-Itz so funny that if you sneeze like I have been then your baby will wriggle afterwards or even laugh but baby moves when your resting so concentrate on feels then ,I just want to know when I could feel a kick or heart beat with my hands lol
Noahs_mommy replied: I think the whole can't feel the baby move till the 14th week is just a general rule. You know so that the women who don't feel their babies move sooner don't get worried. I am at 14 weeks and I have been feeling little movements for a few weeks now. They are more pronounce now though pf course. Isn't it just the greatest feeling in the world?
MyBlueEyedBabies replied: Great picture I could feel movement REALLY early with MAtt too. I think right arround 10 weeks, but just like Katy I was in Fetal testing for the 3rd trimester due to lack of fetal movement My kids like ot be difficult though
PanthersGirl replied: I just started feeling flutters at 18 weeks. I didn't know you felt something at 9 weeks when it is like a little lima bean still. Wow.
JAYMESMOM replied: LOL-Your boss had to like freak out. But it is still funny!!
PanthersGirl replied: I don't think it is possible at 9 weeks. As small as it is. I'd say it was probably just something else at that time. I mean its a Peanut size at that time. So if you felt it then you may be further than you thought. At 12 weeks its a baseball size it would be more likely then but still awfully early. Besides there is still so much room in the sack at this time that you usually can't feel it until it fills it up more is the reason it takes so long to feel it. And arms and legs are just little nubs (though you can see it in the ultrasound) at 11 weeks.
I am only 19 weeks and have had 4 ultrasounds already. So i got to know the sizes pretty quickly.
CShellCA replied: I don't know, I just started feeling the baby, and I'm *technically* 14 weeks. I think I'm further along tho - originally my EDD was Oct. 16th, which would make me closer to 15/16 weeks. Who knows. I'm also pretty darn skinny, which is what my midwife thinks is the reason I feel it so early.
I don't think it should be ruled out earlier than 16 weeks, just because textbooks say so!
A&A'smommy replied: awwww lol that is really cute story!!!
Hillbilly Housewife replied: Yeah...maybe.... but this IS my 3rd, I can probably recognize it a little more than someone who has never felt it before. It's just...different.
