Ok, I've just got to ask, - does your DH........?

Farelle wrote: Does your DH pick up after himself???

PrairieMom replied: rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif rolleyes.gif

Danalana replied: Mine does. He even washes his work clothes because they get so nasty...
Yep, he's a good guy!

Maddy'sMommy replied: laugh.gif laugh.gif Mine does not! But he is still a good guy smile.gif

Farelle replied: Ok, so that's one yes and one rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif
Let's hear it from everyone else..

Oh and Danalana - how do you get him to do it!?!?!?!??! ohmy.gif

Miranda1127 replied: NO ugggg growl.gif dry.gif

luvmykids replied: rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif

I'm in that category too rolleyes.gif

A few weeks ago he had a fit about the state of the house and told me to leave while he cleaned. When I got home he'd put the dishes in the sink and swept the kitchen floor and called it a day dry.gif

Maddie&EthansMom replied: Not hardly. rolleyes.gif The funny thing is, he THINKS he does which only irritates me more b/c he talks about how messy the house is. dry.gif If he'd pitch in and HELP it wouldnt' be half as bad. soapbox.gif

MoonMama replied: Sometimes but for the most part no. dry.gif

Danalana replied: Luckily, I don't have to get him to. he just does it. It's a good thing I don't have to get him to...you know how the male brain automatically goes against whatever you say? emlaugh.gif Nah, I'm kidding. Sort of.

Farelle replied: Ok, keep them coming! I'm feeling better that it's not just MY DH that does it. Although I have to give him "props" for actually helping with the housework, but it's the picking up part that makes me growl.gif
Do men actually know what a hamper is......?? tongue.gif

Danalana replied: OMG, my husband is a hamper maniac! he has like 3 of those mesh pop-up hampers. I honestly don't know why he has all of them, but he does use them unsure.gif

Mommyof3 replied: My DH is sitting here and he says to let you all know that he cleans up his stuff.

Okay, I just turned the monitor away from him...lol

Let's just say our idea of clean is two totally different things. He thinks I'm too picky about how I want things done and I think there is a right way to do them and a wrong way to do them...he always does them wrong...lol Also, if I do ask him to help me clean he goes to the kitchen to do the dishes and that's his cleaning.

He is changing Caroline's diaper and told me to also let you all know that he wakes up with her every night...okay he really does do that. I haven't had to wake up with her once since she has been born because he is so paranoid...but that's another story. biggrin.gif

redchief replied: blink.gif

Crystalina replied: Mine will do his own laundry because he will only wear certain clothes and I refuse to do laundry everyday.

Other then the laundery..... emlaugh.gif no, it's not happening.

HuskerMom replied: My hubby does sometimes but he's always so busy that I do most of it. I don't mind though cuz I hate clutter. laugh.gif

My3LilMonkeys replied: Yes, but only if:
1) I directly and specifically ask him to do so
2) I get lazy and don't clean for a day or two (which happens frequently, cause I've got a lot of slobbish tendencies also) and he gets fed up with the way the house looks

MyBrownEyedBoy replied: Yes, most of the time, anyway. The kitchen table gets a bit cluttered up with papers, but that's my fault too.

CantWait replied:
emlaugh.gif emlaugh.gif emlaugh.gif What the heck is that....??????

HARDLY, ever.

moped replied: No!

~Roo'sMama~ replied: Sometimes, but not as much as he thinks he does. rolleyes.gif I've been tempted to not pick up after him for a few days just so he'll believe me about it. tongue.gif

Twelve Volt Man replied:
I've threatened to do the same thing with my wife.

hawkshoe replied: You are kidding, right?

lovemy2 replied: emlaugh.gif emlaugh.gif rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif emlaugh.gif emlaugh.gif rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif emlaugh.gif emlaugh.gif rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif

But when I tell him he doesn't help I get the old soapbox.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied: sleep.gif sometimes, it depends on what and when.

lisar replied: Ya right!!!!

Boo&BugsMom replied: rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif
I don't think he even knows how. tongue.gif

He tries sometimes, but I usually have to go back and reclean. And I know he'll say "your standards are too high" blahblah.gif , but I'm talking about obvious stuff...crumbs all over the floor for example...toothpaste splattered all over the bathroom mirror...hairs all over the sink...the list goes on...

It's two things with him...he rushes to just get it done, and he doesn't pay attention to what he's doing.........and he gets upset at Tanner for doing the same stuff....hummmm...wonder where he gets it? rolleyes.gif

indywndy_04 replied: My husband is OCD...he is the cleanest person on the planet...guaranteed!!! smile.gif

jcc64 replied: No, but he doesn't expect me to, either. He's a genuine, dyed in the wool slob. He's pretty good at cleaning, but the urge doesn't come often enough.

lesliesmom replied: Nice to know my DH is not the only one who doesn't pick up. Sometimes, on the weekend, he'll straighten up the kitchen but that's about it. He's good about outside work but when it comes to the inside.... forgetaboutit. And yet he is the first one too complain that the house is a mess (even though it is slightly cluttered) growl.gif Go figure!

Cece00 replied: Most of the time, because I am not above screaming at him for not doing it. I mean you know, I am home with the kids, so I do the lion's share of the housework, but the LEAST he could do is pick up his dirty clothes, put his dishes in the sink or dishwasher & just pick up crap he has taken out. We have had a few fights about him picking up after himself, so he usually does it now. laugh.gif

TheOaf66 replied:
at least I try but I can't keep up with the operating room standards she sets and all I can say is at least I make an effort biggrin.gif

grapfruit replied: rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif
Guess I'm in that catagory! He actually tells me it looks fine and to leave it. He always tries to con me into sitting on the couch w/him instead. (how evil!)

Oh and I agree w/the hair in the bathroom after he shaves!!!! growl.gif Ew! Clean it up!

Boo&BugsMom replied:
Told ya! "Standards"...phooey! rolleyes.gif tongue.gif

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Sometimes. I have to do a lot of "gentle" reminding though... rolling_smile.gif

boyohboyohboy replied: of course he does, as soon as i tell him too! biggrin.gif

Farelle replied:

That's exactly what it is.....rushes to do it and doesn't pay attention!!! All I ask is to PUT the milk away he's done or pick up the sippy cup of curdling milk that he gave to the kids 8 hours ago!!! growl.gif growl.gif It's the simplest things that just don't get done....I can't figure it out? wacko.gif

Twelvevoltman....you should teach classes!!! wink.gif

Calimama replied: Yep, DH does it without being asked. Before Bella though, not so much. wink.gif
