Ok, all you experts - I need some help with this one

coasterqueen wrote: Ok, this is embarrassing to even ask so cut me some slack. tongue.gif I was getting ready for work this morning and noticed I getting a freakin' mustache! ohmy.gif ohmy.gif This is SO NOT GOOD. And I have dark hair, so NOT GOOD and noticeable! Tell me what to do!?! I really don't want to wax because then I'll have to continue that. I have enough trouble keeping my eyebrows plucked. wacko.gif Oh gosh this is embarrassing and sucks! I swear I feel like everyone can see it. blush.gif

Help!

my2monkeyboys replied: Can you just bleach it? That should help it not be noticeable.

kit_kats_mom replied: bleach, wax or tweeze. That's about all you can do unless you want to go do the laser hair removal. Just a tip, I only have a few dark hairs on my upper lip but I've had it waxed a couple of times when I've gotten my brows done. The problem is that I always break out there after a waxing.

cameragirl21 replied: get it waxed, it will grow back thinner and thinnner and at some point any hair that grows back will be so blond it won't even matter.
just don't even think of doing it yourself, get it done by a pro. plucking eyebrows by yourself is one thing, waxing your own mustache is quite another.
and yes, it does hurt, that is the ONLY part of my body that hurts to wax...i can get my crotch waxed entirely bald (which i've been doing for years) and that doesn't hurt much but the upper lip, ouch.
still, it's so worth it.

moped replied: When I wax my eyebrows they wax my moustache as well.........jsut easier and I never have to touch anything.....about once a month or longer. I don't know any other tricks.......

moped replied: Karen, I thought of a funny story......I used to work with this girl who was about 40ish.....she had the WORST dark blond moustahce, I mean it was so fuzzy and gross....one day at lunch we went shopping and I said I better run in and get a wax job, she said "I am so glad I don't have to worry about that".........I didn't have the heart to tell her it was NASTY and yes she did need to worry about it....LOL. So I am jsut glad that you have admitted that you have hair there, some people are oblivious!

Kaitlin'smom replied: dont feel bad Karen, more people have them than its known, mine is very light. However my issue is a few dark hairs under the chin, they are sooo annoying and seem to come back almost every day.

jcc64 replied: Don't tweeze- the hairs will come back darker and coarser. Wax it where you get your hair cut, and you probably won't need to do it more often than 6 or 8 wks. No worse than a haircut, really.

Jamison'smama replied: Just curious, why would tweezing make it come back any darker than waxing would? I tweeze some, I also keep a little electric razor thing in my make-up bag, you know, the female version of the nose hair, eyebrow shaver thing. I get rid of all the excess hair. I tweeze the chin hairs (thank you pregnancies), tweeze the brows and shave the rest. I wax on occasion but for the day to day maintenance I use the razor. I am a hairy beast though and I hate it! smile.gif

DansMom replied: I shave mine---just a quick touchup with a razor. It's not painful that way.

DansMom replied: Brenda, I'm glad I'm not the only one who just shaves it off. tongue.gif

Oh, I have three of those chin hairs too---those I tweeze.

Hillbilly Housewife replied: I don't shave it, because when it grows back, you can totally tell.

I Nair mine off.

Though, I just got it lasered on Tuesday. We'll see how it goes.

my2monkeyboys replied: If you do wax it, apply some orajel on your lip a few minutes ahead of time. That'll help numb it so it won't hurt as bad.

A&A'smommy replied: honestly I shave that area... yeah not good but you can get it lasered off at pretty much any day spa and then you never have to worry about it again.

coasterqueen replied: Thanks ladies. So if you get it lasered off is it for good? How long if now?

A&A'smommy replied:
this might be helpful!! http://www.hairfacts.com/methods/laser/lasermain.html

MoonMama replied: I get my eyebrows waxed and as time goes by I am able to go longer and longer between each time. I'd try that. hug.gif

julesmom replied: Nair makes a hair removal cream that is just for facial hair. Works great. I have to do it every 2weeks or so, but it's better then waxing. IMHO.

Waxing is nice, but gets expensive. Plus, I walk out with a red lip and chin, obvious sign of just getting a wax. blush.gif

TANNER'S MOM replied: I use a hair remove..Sally Hensen.. I leave it on there a few minutes longer than I should to get ALL the hair.. I have blonde hair and I think it's hard to see but I freak out that someone will see it from the side when the light hits it.

I do have a chin hair that comes in black..but I watch for that stupid thing. I am so glad I am not the only one.

Oh I get mine waxed every now and then too.
