Ok what did you think of Supper Nanny?

TANNER'S MOM wrote: Ok I really wanted the Mom to put some clothes on? Was it just me???

And my biggest issue was the youngest all of 3 years old just wondering around outside. I mean to tell you that my nearest neighbor is 1/4 of a mile away, and I have 4 children and have always been aware of when one was out side. Here where I live if you lost your children as much as she did....someone would take them......man I am being harsh aren't I?????? soapbox.gif

But all in all, I think they learned some things and so did I. My sons says Mommy please stop watching that, I spend more time in the corner for time out...lol

ammommy replied: OMG! I was ready to go through the TV and strangle that mom when she was so laid back about her missing children. Asking the older kid where his brother was, just lounging in the doorway with the "whatever" look on her face. Hello?!?!? Ever heard of a lock? I'm surprised it took so long for them to put one on. I really think that the mom was just over everything after 8 years, though, and had given up. Nanny Jo was very good for her, I think. I was happy to hear that she had given up on being super mom and let her Dh help out.

I was surprised that Cameron fell for the "take a bite wth Daddy" trick. I never thought that would work. I'll have to keep that tucked into the back of my head for the future.

I think Dad handled his older son's feelings when doing homework very well. GO dad thumb.gif Overall, I really like this show.

coasterqueen replied: That woman could have definitely put more clothing on. She seemed to be more consumed in her looks than she should have been, lol. Maybe then she'd know where her youngest was when he was wondering outside and wondering around outside with scissors. dry.gif

I definitely took some things away from the show. I obviously need to be more consistent. I'm a lot like that mother when it comes to losing control of the situation. The problem for us is that time-outs just don't work for Kylie 9 out of 10 times. So what do you do then? That's our biggest problem.

Did anyone see the preview at the end for the next one with the two twin toddler girls? That portion where the one twin girl was pointing her finger at her mother and sassing back at her...........that's my Kylie. rolleyes.gif

I'm afraid that that's where we are heading with Alec. I'll have to check that one out.

On a side note, I think I've figured out this quote thing thumb.gif
Shoot, no I haven't mad.gif

mommy2owen replied: I can't believe that show last nite, it was crazy!! First of all, I cant believe she let the two older boys push Declan around like that. Second, she wasnt even woried about her youngest when he was missing! Last but not least, she left a 3 yo in the kitchen whith the oven on, to go out and catch bugs with her 6 yo, now thats a big mistake!!!

5littleladies replied: What are ya'll talking about? That woman wore more clothes than I knew was possible-She must have worn at least 12 different outfits in what-3 days? wink.gif She definitely seemed more concerned about her looks than anything. dry.gif

I wanted to cry when I saw that little boy wandering around outside by himself-They are so lucky that nothing happened to him! And when Chandler told his dad that he didn't want him to help with his homework because he had yelled at him a year ago!?! I felt awful for him-It show just how long these things can stay with out kids. sad.gif

Maddie&EthansMom replied: I think the mom spent more time out by the pool than anything. (obviously) and just let her children run wild while she primped, tanned and changed clothes a hundred times a day. dry.gif And, Scotty and I both noticed she needed to be wearing more clothes. He said "Does she OWN an outfit that isn't a halter???" laugh.gif

Anyway, I'm glad Super Nanny got their household under control. I can't wait to see next week's with the little girl in her mother's face. I'm curious to see how Super Nanny handles that one. Karen, that was Maddie when she was 2!! blush.gif I must have done something right b/c she is SO much better.

jdkjd replied:
That gives me hope!!! biggrin.gif

JessC replied: OK, Me and Chris watched that last night too, he fell asleep have way through it but I was thinking the same thing about the mom. How could she dress like that first of all, she is dressing like a teenager, and how is it that she just lets her kids do what she wants? I couldn't believe when he was wondering the streets. I believe that from watching that, when I do end up getting pregnant and having kids, That would help me alot in the future!
I loved the show, I can't wait to see the next one!

My2Beauties replied: Did you see the amount of sweets those kids consumed? Ay yai yai! sad.gif unsure.gif

3forme replied: I saw it. I could not believe that mom letting her kids go outside without her or her knowledge. IT GRIPES me BIGTIME when people ignore their kids, especially when they are wrapped up in themselves. I knew a girl that would ignore her daughter so much. The little girl would have ME take her to the bathroom when we went to the mall together!! Then she would talk about how she didn't understand why she was acting out...HELLO! Negative attention is better than NONE!!

Anyway, the other thign was all of the hitting going on between the kids! I am glad they were getting that under control. Someon could get SERIOUSLY hurt!

I think Jo was very good for them. I learn a little from each show too. I like it.

Boys r us replied: I didn't get to see the supernanny last night, actually I've never seen it. But from the stories I hear, it just amazes me that more people don't lose custody of their kids these days! I guess you must have to be a monster of a parent for that to happen, huh?

Oh well at any rate, I'm glad the super nanny came to the rescue again wink.gif

mammag replied: That mom was sooooooooooo my sister. This is the one that lives in Hawaii. She is so consumed with herself it is pathetic. She spends 2hours at the gym leaving them in the lobby where they go wandering around the parking lot when she's not around. She also dresses too young for her age (31) and it just makes her look trashy because she has tanned so much she looks quite older than me instead of the one year older that she is. She makes her kids go without so that she can buy a $75 halter top for a night out. OOH it makes me crazy!!!! Her kids are paying the price for her self absorption! mad.gif

3boys4me replied: I was thinking the same thing!! The clothes, come on, you have boys!! She spends more time on her tan than she does her kids. She was pretty whiney too. My dh never watches the whole hour with me. Last night he did, wonder why??? rolleyes.gif

alice&arik replied: I don't know if that woman dressed like that because she was on TV or if that is how she really dresses. But come on.....of course those kids don't learn anything with boobies in their faces all the time. rolleyes.gif And when the little boy was wondering around the street, why wasn't she looking for him. They never showed HOW she found him, maybe the camera guy brought him back. It makes me wonder if the camera guys can protect the kids like that if they are in danger. But I did notice that when they were showing the footage to the parents from when she was gone, the lock was already on the door, and then they go back and show them putting it on.....Supernanny must have chewed her butt and put it on right away without the camera. tongue.gif

I actually did start to cry when that kid was doing his homework with his dad, it was just so sad. bawling.gif But I thought it was a good episode. thumb.gif

mammag replied:

Huh, that's funny... It was the same scenario at our house. I was actually getting a little upset about it (didn't say anything though rolleyes.gif ). That's okay....I've got LL Cool J to look forward to tonight on American Idol if what I read is correct!!! cool.gif

momof3angels replied: OMG, I love watching Supernanny! Yes, I was very upset watching the little 3 year old running around outside by himself! I see people letting their kids do it all the time and I just want to strangle them. I still don't let my oldest who is 8 go out in the front yard by himself, though I am much more lax about a fenced in back yard. Anything can happen in an instant! It is great to see Supernanny straighten out the parents and show how all kids CAN be managed. The show also makes me appreciate my children even more. Yes, my boys can be a handful, but they are wonderful and for the most part very well behaved!
