Okay girlies..it's official
Boys r us wrote: we're going to TTC! but I have a BIG question, How will I know when I'll ovulate again? - Aside from the obvious..waiting until I have a cycle and going from there.
Anyone else who has had a m/c how long did it take before your cycle got back to normal.
Rick and I were discussing it and obviously we're not medical experts, but we figured that we would just go from the date of m/c as sort of the beginning of my last cycle which would mean I COULD be ovulating in 3 days, so tonight we're going to make a REALLY special night(at rick's request, believe it or not) and I've bought tons of different desserts from this little gourmet bakery down the road and we're going to eat chocolate in bed in candle light tonight and HOPE for the best..we're doing it hopefully 3 days before ovulation so that we can tilt the scales in favor of a girl, since girl sperm are slower but live longer than boy sperm. LOL..we're trying to be all scientific about it and don't even have a clue WHEN I'm really going to be ovulating!!
moped replied: Actually when I had my mc it was 5 weeks til my next period and then I waited 10 days to when I was ovulating and I got PG then - so wait til your next real period and get at it girl!!!!!
So happy to hear this
5littleladies replied: I'm so glad you are going to try again Nichole! I hope it happens quickly!
After my m/c my cycle seemed to be back to normal the next month (September)but I'm not really sure since I didn't conceive until December.
Good luck and keep us posted!
Kaitlin'smom replied: I really have not a clue but have fun trying
there is also another theory on how to get a girl also, I dont know but I am thinking it worked for us, not that we were trying.
moped replied: There are websites telling you when you ovulate and they were very accurate for me
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Have you ever done the cervical fluid test? When you have elastic-like "egg-white" fluid down there, where you can actually stretch it between your fingers (sorry if that's tmi), you're ovulating or just about to. The natural fluid helps the sperm ride up and through the cervix opening. Think about it like this, if you're dry, those little spermies can't move and so they die. Won't work with a synthetic lubricant though. This is exactly how I got PG with Wil! We got busy as soon as I saw the egg-whites...sounds gross, but worked for us! You can also start charting your temperature - Here's a good website and a book I read if you want to get more scientific about it Fertility Awareness Method. Again, it worked for us the first time, it also gives specific ways to try and have a girl. We obviously didn't get that one down so well! Good luck and have fun!
gr33n3y3z replied: very good
kayla's mama replied: I glad that you guys are going to try agian When I had my m/c we waited til the next cycle got pg on the 3rd. Have fun trying
luvmykids replied: Best of luck TTC!
CAMSMOM1 replied: Aren't there digital tests that show when you are ovulating? And it shows when you are the most likely to get pg? I've never used them, but I heard they work.
Best of luck with TTC! How exciting!!!!
~Roo'sMama~ replied: This is how I can always tell, too. I have a lot of it though... I usually have to wear a panty liner for a few days in the middle of my cycle. (sorry tmi! ) I actually have a book on it that helped me understand it better. Now I always know when it's safe to not use any protection.
Good luck TTC! I hope it happens for you soon.
ETA: Here is another site on the ovulation method: Billings Ovulation Method
Click on the little diagram to enter the site, and then under "what is the billings method" click on "achieving pregnancy".
kimberley replied: good luck!
i conceived Jade about 2-3wks after i m/c our angel.
jacobsmama replied: Good luck trying to concieve!!
jem0622 replied: My cycles were regular after my D&C. But I would urge you to let the uterine lining thicken a little. Lots of P&PT! I would encourage you to have your progesterone tested right after a positive test. If it is in the teens or lower then you must have supplements. B6, B12, extra folic, extra calcium, and a baby aspirin wouldn't hurt either!
My2Beauties replied: I am soo happy for you Nichole yeah! Good luck on TTC and I hope you guys had a great night last night. Sorry I am just now reading this.
A&A'smommy replied: Congratulations Nichole!!!!! I have no idea about the ovulation deal but I'm sure you will get it figured out. Although last time I went to the doctor for a check up (gyn check up) he told me to come in before I start trying to go see him first.
Chiflata2003 replied: Good luck!
MyBrownEyedBoy replied: I don't want to give any specific advice, but I sure hope you enjoy your chocolate in bed night anyhow.
Halo42101 replied: My obgyn told me that most woman usually conceive in the middle of the month. Good luck trying again.
Hugs from, Jessi
xKirstyMaex replied: Good luck! Hope you dont have to wait long!
siblingtoolivia replied: I recently had a m/c as well, I actually ovulated 3 weeks to the day after and got my af four weeks to the day after....ttc in between the m/c and my first cycle but it didn't happen:( which is ok in the grand scheme of things, I got my af and now can start keeping track again, but hope, hope, hope that I conceive quickly - happened the first time with my daughter and the first time we ttc for the second which resulted in the m/c.....
Mom2Boyz replied: Good luck, and have fun trying
It took us 5 months to concive Conner after having our m/c, but we weren't really trying. Just not preventing it
