On your wedding day.....

MyLuvBugs wrote: Where you a bridezilla?

I saw a show the other day about bridezilla's and when I asked DH if he thought I was one he said no....But I could tell he really ment "YES!" laugh.gif

PrairieMom replied: nope. i was perfectly behaved, although my wedding was really small, and informal. the only thing that went wrong is the florist forgot my bridesmaids boquets. I think they were expecting me to be bridezilla when i called them, they were super appologetic!

mammag replied: No. I was a pleasant bride. The only problem I had was that I was rushing around all morning and didn't get to eat so I was having hunger cramps right before the wedding and was lying down in the middle of the changing room floor at one point.

Oh, then there was the fact that I made the mistake of getting my hair cut that morning and he chopped it. I remained pleasant even through that. I guess I was really on cloud nine and didn't notice anything else.

kimberley replied: i was a nervous, giggling bride. blush.gif

luvmykids replied: Nope, I was totally calm and relaxed.

holley79 replied: No, I think it went pretty smooth. We had a small informal wedding so it wasn't all hustle and bustle. blush.gif

C&K*s Mommie replied: Not really. Alot of stress, but I think I kept my cool.

Maddie&EthansMom replied: Nope. wink.gif My mother was the mother of the bride-zilla. I didn't have to worry about it. emlaugh.gif I just let her have it. rolleyes.gif

A&A'smommy replied: nope I was relaxed and I had a LOT of fun!!! tongue.gif

BAC'sMom replied: nope not at all.

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Probably a little bit blush.gif , although people kept mentioning how calm I was. Since I am (was) an events planner, I'm anal about how things are set-up. I can come off as a control freak, only because I know how to do it myself. So I was probably a freak to the events people...I remember barging into the back room and freaking out that they didn't have all the votives lit yet, so I went around and started lighting them myself! Also, one of my toasting glasses (just for DH and I) broke, so of course I got overly-dramatic about it, cried and had DH go out with the BM and buy a new one an hour before the wedding. I also was pretty snippy to my bridesmaids because they kept using my cell phone and I had already a huuuuuuuuuuuuge phone bill waiting for me at home. I'm so ashamed! Looking back, all those were minor things, but at the time, of course they were a big deal to me!

My3LilMonkeys replied: No - our wedding was VERY low key and I really didn't care how things went - even when the rain moved us indoors (which we totally didn't prepare for) and my options were to start my walk down the aisle from either the kitchen or the bathroom! laugh.gif

garrettsmom replied: I was cool, calm and collected......however Scott was a groomzilla!! tongue.gif

gr33n3y3z replied: Nope I was very sick
I just wanted it to be over

Hillbilly Housewife replied: Yes, I was.

However - only with:

my inlaws - my FIL was the MC - he flubbed up what little he actually did say... he didn't even give a speech...didn't announce anything really - what he did announce, he had to go back and correct. dry.gif

the florist - she totally didn't understand what I wanted - I had to freakin DRAW her a PICTURE, literally...

the bartender - we had open bar - and he was complaining to another staff member that he hardly had gotten any tips - I straightened him out - I told him that WE were tipping at the end, on the overall balance... and on a prior estimate of about 2300$ of booze, that's a pretty darn decent tip for 15% - that if I heard him complain ONE more time - he wasn't going to get it all and he'd have to content himself with the measly 25$ he'd gotten so far... tongue.gif

the deacon - he was telling me I couldn't have Ave Maria as an opening song in the church - fyi - Ave Maria was my pening song! tongue.gif

and my sitter - she was fired the Monday following my wedding - she actually told some of my aunts that they weren't "allowed" to touch the kids.

Everyone else thought I was soooo calm!

Oh yeah... and the snafu about the wedding suite at the hotel - I was a Monster Bridezilla the night before the wedding to the poor hotel clerk, then the poor hotel manager. I even got the suite way cheaper than it was supposed to be. laugh.gif

kit_kats_mom replied: I was the anti bride zilla. It was a mellow, laid back night and I had all of my friends around. No one to impress...just a good time

ashtonsmama replied: I think I was pretty good...I'm pretty easy-going anyways...so I was pretty nervous, but I don't think I was too mean to anyone...
