One of my favorite places
HuskerMom wrote: I was in the library today getting this book for Dh and I started to wander around. I think I could've wandered for hours. I don't know why but I love going to the library. My parents took me there when I was little and I loved it then too. I really hope Keith has as big of an interest in reading as I do someday. I can't wait til he's old enough so I can take him in and have him pick out books. Do any of you take your kids to the library? What do they think of it?
luvmykids replied: The library is one of my favorite places. I have always, always loved to read and every time I go I'm sort of awed at everything there is to read. About 10 years ago I got this notion that I was going to start at the first book and read all the way to the last Of course it didn't happen!
The kids love it too, our library has story hours with activities and crafts; we go every week in the summer.
mckayleesmom replied: McKaylee loves the library, but I prefer to just go buy her books because she doesn't understand what BE QUIET means....
Nina J replied: I don't really like librarys. I prefer to just buy my own books, I don't really like library books because I don't know who's touched them or where they've been..
mom21kid2dogs replied: I've always loved the library, too! It's funny, my parents always dropped me off there, but neither of them really "use" the library. If my mom is asking about a particular thing, I'm always telling her "Look at the library. I bet they have it!" We had a really, really old one in my hometown and the architecture of the building probably was as big a draw for me as all the stuff that was in it!
Before O was in school, we were at the Library 2-3 times a week. She went to storyhour from 6 months old on and LOVED that. We have a wonderful children's librarian at ours, such a nice perk. We generally go once a week now but some days I'll go down without O to check out a magazine or a book on tape. I don't think we could ever get enough of the library!
PrairieMom replied: I love the library. The smell of all those books is one of my favorite smells in the whole world. It just makes me feel good. I have tried to take Ben there, but he was to little to understand that you have to be quite. When the kids are a bit bigger we will try again. Maybe this summer. We can walk there from the park.
Danalana replied: I love the library too Hehe, no chuldren to speak for, but my future chuldren will love it too...well, as long as I can speak for them
Calimama replied: Bella already loves it. They have an awesome baby Einstein play center.
lisar replied: Lexi loves the library. Out library is so cool there is a HUGE kids sections and they always have crafts for them to do and they are always reading books to the kids and doing little plays. I love the new ones they have put up here. It is so much fun to take her. I do have to limit her on how many books she is allowed to check out though. If I would let her she would have 100 books
A&A'smommy replied: I have taken alyssa one time.. but I also took my neice and nephew at the same time and that was NOT fun. I will try again when she is a bit older.. as of right now we have a little library of our own
redchief replied: Libraries are also among my favorite places.
My3LilMonkeys replied: I have always loved reading & going to the library. The first time I took Brooke to the library she was amazed - she couldn't believe how many books there were!
Miranda1127 replied: I love taking Liesy but i hate borrowing the books (i never return them on time) i would much rather just sit there and read, same with Liesy she never wants to leave
