Thanks Nicole I'm in bunny love and ourt dog is just kissing him. wub.gif

C&K*s Mommie replied: My mother was thinking of getting our girls a rabbit, awhile ago. We never have. But they (our girls) like to pet them in the pet store all the time.

It may be something to consider since we are wanting to get another dog for Chris, I have my dog, and the girls can have their own pet too.

Are they fairly easy to take care of? Do they have as sweet of temperaments as they seem to? Can you tell if they are male/female?

CantWait replied: So cute... wub.gif

redchief replied: I was pleasantly surprised at the number here who see rabbits as good pets. I've seen way too many times how people get a bunny, then get tired of it and banish it to a cage outside, only feeding it occasionally. Bunnies can be great, attentive housepets. I was surprised at how varied their personalities can be.

Buster is playful and carefree
Marley was a grump, but she loved to be petted
Ezra (Buster's dad) didn't like to be petted much but he would play. He could also thump like no tomorrow (rabbits slam their rear foot down hard as a warning signal - Ezra was really loud and he did it often, especially if he was being bothered).

MoonMama replied:
Like Ed said,

Ours is a boy and I think its fairly easy to tell. unsure.gif They are fairly easy to care for as long as you fallow some basic rules and I would be more then happy to send you all my bunny info. if you ever do decide to get one. They are usually sweet (but some aren't) although we have never had a mean one. They most definitely have their own little personalities. Like Ed said they can be very people loving and attentive. wub.gif
