Overwhelmed poll

cameragirl21 wrote: Again, this one is self explanatory, feel free to comment if you wish. happy.gif

luvmykids replied: I have three young kids, a DH who is gone 95% of the time, 11 horses to feed and water, lots of work to do for DH long distance....it's safe to say I'm often feeling overwhelmed laugh.gif

Calimama replied: When DH first leaves and it hits me I feel overwhelmed. But luckily it's not a lasting feeling.

MommyToAshley replied: I often feel overwhelmed but I think it is because I am trying to do two full-time jobs... be a SAHM and run a full time business. Both require a lot of time and I seldom have down time and I average only a few hours of sleep a night. But, I wouldn't trade the time with Ashley for anything else in the world. She'll be in school all day next year, so I will have more time to get the business stuff done during the day. But, I am still not ready for her to be gone all day.

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: I voted not very often but often enough. I go through phases. If you asked me four weeks ago I would have voted very overwhelmed. Moving and all has been rough, but we are finally feeling settled in. And I have my routine now, which makes us ALL less overwhelmed. wink.gif

Chiflata2003 replied: Sometimes, but not as much as used to. I am more lonely then overwhelmed. tongue.gif laugh.gif

my2monkeyboys replied: I voted sometimes. It probably averages out about once every 3-4 months. I'll feel really stressed for a couple of days, then things will start to get better. Usually it's financial stuff that brings it on. If we could ever get rich our life would be so perfect... but of course, that'll never happen - it's hard to win the lottery when you never play it! laugh.gif

jcc64 replied: My 2 boys are on a combined 8 competitive baseball teams right now, Corey is on a competitive gymnastics team 3 days a wk, dh travels frequently, I'm in school full-time, and yes, I am very often overwhelmed. I know there will come a day when they're all gone and I'll be lonely, but a happy medium would be great!

coasterqueen replied: I would choose the first one - often overwhelmed, but I think that has a lot to do with Megan's health issues and the amount of sickness that has gone through our house since Thanksgiving. Otherwise, I go through spurts.

CantWait replied: Between work, taking care of the house and the kids (dh does next to nothing ever hardly), I'm always burnt at both ends.

Now add being pregnant and fatigued and nauseous and I just want to lie down and never get up sometimes.

TrulyBlessed replied: Sometimes I feel overwhelmed. I am a SAHM of three - ages 10, 5 and 8 months. I am also going to college to get my accounting degree. I feel overwelmed when I have a lot of homework or need to study for a test. Other times I feel overwelmed is when the baby won't let me set him down and the house looks like a tornado hit it. biggrin.gif

boyohboyohboy replied: I voted sometimes over whelmed. I have 6 kids during the day all under the age of 8. I worry with the state of the economy about dh and his job.
but most of the time, I am just trying to live one day at a time and be thankful for what we have.

Nina J replied: Often enough.

Personally though, I am hoping to change this. I have panic attacks and started cognitive behavioural therapy. It's pretty good, so far it's just been learning about techniques like deep breathing, thinking in the present, etc. But I can see it helping.

coasterqueen replied:
Stacy, with that many kids under a certain age at home with you all day, I'd say you are a goddess!!!! thumb.gif

luvmykids replied: If I were to vote again now, my answer would be very different...now that DH and I are under the same roof again and things have smoothed out in general, I'm hardly ever overwhelmed anymore. Busy, but enjoyably so cool.gif
