PHEW what a day!
mummy2girls wrote: Man was the first day a whirlwind of excitement! It started at 730 and the last kids left at 545pm. Jenna was able to sleep in this mornign so when she woke up she was in a good mood.. but that only lasted a bit. The day was so hard on her emotionally! Because all these kids were playing with her toys. She broke my heart with all her tears:( So I took her fav toys and put them in her room. so this way she can go upsatirs and be away from everyone and play by herself. And that helped alot! but she still was jealous! All the kids were there because school doesnt start until tuesday so the part time kids were here all day! I was ready to pull my hair out or run for the hills.. LOL.. i was havign problems with a 2 year old little boy. he was not listening at all.. but with me giving warnings and time aways and toys taken away mid way through the day he did listen to me:) all in all i LOVED every minute of it! to not have to drive to work, and drag jenna out of bed and me and jenna actually ate at 6pm... because i started dinner while the kids were still here so by the time the last kids left we could eat! that was awesome!
CALAGON take me away!
amynicole21 replied: Hooray! I'm so glad it went well. Maybe after a while you can get toys just for the daycare kids and let Jenna keep her's upstairs
A&A'smommy replied: awww honey I'm SOOO glad your first day was good and that your wish has finally happened!!!
amymom replied: WOO HOO This sounds great. I think starting on a Friday gives you a bit of a break too! You and Jenna can regroup over the weekend. And go at it again next week. Boy that commute is hard huh?
gr33n3y3z replied: Oh that sounds great I'm glad everything went so well And I'm sure Jenna will get better with sharing her mommy just takes a little time
MyBrownEyedBoy replied: Yeah, Shelly. I am so glad it went well today. I have the exact same problem with my own two year old boy. Wish I had a fast solution for you. I hope you and Jenna have a nice relaxing weekend. Congratulations!!!
Kirstenmumof3 replied: I'm glad your first day went well! It's understandable that Jenna will be jealous, you did the right thing by putting her favourate toys in her room! Congratulations!
luvmykids replied: Glad you started off with a bang! Jenna will be fine, it's age more than anything. Maybe you can let her rotate which toys are fair game and which ones stay in her room.
booey2 replied: Sounds like it went really well. Just wish I had the patience to do something like that. I would love to stay home but alas we decided I need to work outside the house, couldn't bring in enough children to make up from what I make now. Great job Shelly.

MoonMama replied: YEAH! Good for you I'm so glad your enjoying it, be proud of yourself girl!
ediep replied: So glad it is working out for you!!!!!! Jenna will adjust!
I agree with AMy.
After a while it might be easier on Jenna and you to keep her things upstairs and then the daycare toys are what is available for the kids to play with. It also might keep her special things from getting full of the other kids germs.
AlexsPajamaMama replied: Oh Shelly Im glad your first day went so well Jenna will adjust in time, good job letting her keep her favorite toys in another room. Im sure with the school kids not being there will calm things down a bit too
And as for the 2 year old little boy.....when you figure out what makes them listen let me know ok because my two your old little boy doesnt listen well either! hehe Takes time and patience for sure!
GREAT JOB! Im SoOo Proud of you!!
