Pen Ink - How to remove it from clothing?

MotherForever2043 wrote: I was wearing a brand new shirt I got from Urban Behavior today and I was writing downa phnoe number, and the tip of the pen swiped my shirt, and it left a mark. It's like a line (1 inch). I don't know how to get the mark off. I didn't want to try soap and water because I didn't want the ink to smudge and cause more damage. My shirt is cotton. BTW, It's a white shirt dry.gif sad.gif Does anyone have any suggestions to remove the ink mark? TIA smile.gif

My3LilMonkeys replied: Shout usually works on pen marks for me...since it's white, you could also try bleach.

MoonMama replied: On white I've used a bleach pen and had it work great. Good luck.

luvmykids replied: Hairspray....the cheaper, the better. Spray it, then wash as usual.

kimberley replied: dito.gif hairspray works

lovemy2 replied: Yep - hairspray...

MotherForever2043 replied: Thanks I'll try all the suggestions wink.gif

tammyhopkins replied: If hairspary doesn't work try ZOUT cleaner stain remover. Can get it at any walmart

My2Beauties replied: I had no clue hairspray worked. DH had a pen in his pocket in his work pants the other day and washed a bunch of clothes and dried them too, now we have pen marks on a bunch of our clothes. Some of them I re-washed and they came out, but others are bad. Do you guys think it would still work even though I've washed and re-washed a couple of times since then? Wow, glad I saw this thread! I was wondering about that.

luvmykids replied: It should work, I've used it on already washed and dried stuff before with pretty good success thumb.gif

Another good one is peroxide for organic stains like blood or grass...don't leave it on too long because it can eat a whole in the garment but I spray it on and let it sit while I load the rest of the clothes...works great.

MotherForever2043 replied: Question, I forgot to ask. After I spray the hairspray do I rub the stain with a cloth or just spray then throw it into the wash? TIA smile.gif

luvmykids replied: Just spray it and throw it in thumb.gif

MotherForever2043 replied:
Thanks smile.gif
