People just shock me - How could they???
TANNER'S MOM wrote: At the fair Friday night we were in line watching Tanner ride a small roller coaster. Of course it was crowded.. people everywhere. We had a talk with all the kids about stranger danger. The older kids to stay in groups..call me every 30-45 mins on cell phones and meet where we are suppose to. Tanner was to NOT leave our sight..and if anyone Carnie or not appoached him to use his STANGER DANGER loudly. For some reason Fairs and Circus's stuff like that freak me out. It's dark and the lighting is bad etc.
Okay on with my story..
We were waiting for Tanner on this ride. A women came up with maybe a 5 year old and a baby in a stoller. Baby maybe 8 months old. She goes to put her 5 year old on a ride and WALKS OFF AND LEAVES THE BABY UNATTENDED. Can you believe that. She didn't even say will you watch my baby?? Nothing. Walked off over 20 ft away from her baby. In the process her baby is not fastened in? She begans climbing out. I am standign there going Hey your babys gonna fall. I say Randy get her.. I am standing there with my arms open ready to catch the baby..and she coming out fast. Finally the woman looks at me, I make eye contact and go Help.. in that split second... the baby hits the ground and I don't catch her.. she is screaming! I feel awful and Randy goes.. Melba catch her.. I didn't.
She was Okay.. but how can someone NOT watch their children?? Not even strapped in?? Walked off and left them??
I said, oh honey you need to be careful and not turn your back.. especially here. She looked at me like I had 9 heads and didn't speak English.
I can't get that baby off my mind???
A&A'smommy replied: OMG that is horrible I can't believe she left that baby, some could have very easily taken her baby or worse!!!
kayla's mama replied: OMG how could that mother do that. Hopefully she learned her lesson, the hard way. Glad the baby was OK but it could have been worse. Someone could have snatched her. UGH!!!!
CantWait replied: Well hopefully she learned her lesson, I seriously doubt it though, Unfortunetly
redchief replied: Sounds similar to what happened here this weekend. That resulted in the death of a four year old little boy.
luvbug00 replied: OMG I would never do that! what if somone stole her or she got out and crawled into dangerous equpment oh this whole story makes me twich with worry
MyBrownEyedBoy replied: It absolutely infuriates me how careless some people are with such precious babies. Another instance when there should be a parenting exam.
gr33n3y3z replied: I hope she learned from this lesson Like you said it could have been alot worse I'm glad the baby was ok
My2Beauties replied: OMG the nerve of some people! I'm glad the baby was ok, some people need their heads examined when it comes to parenting!
mammag replied: It is simply amazing to me that in this day and age people still behave this way. People don't seem to get it that all it takes is one second and your child could be gone to you forever.
dolfinrse replied: What is wrong with some people. Glad to hear that the baby was okay though.
Mommy2BAK replied: OMG! Its a wonder her 5 year old even made it to that age with her parenting skills. That just makes me sick!
kimberley replied: wonder if her and the park beasts' mom are related . glad the little one was ok.
ions_momma replied: Thats horrible! I get so nervous going to fairs and things like that because of the crowds and everything else! I couldnt even imagine leaving my 5 year old child unattended, and that was just a small infant! How awful!!
DblTblDad replied: I cannot stand people like that. I was driving around town one day and there was a young child probably about 18 months or so hanging out of the window of her moms car. She wasnt' strapped it, the window was down and she was standing there in the car. I'm super paroniod about my kikds.
punkeemunkee'smom replied: Some people should not be allowed to procreate!!! Sometimes it makes me want to close my doors and not go outside anymore!
Brandon&Jeffreysmom replied: OMG! Circuses and fairs freak me out I want my children to have all the opportunities I had but I swear today with all the nuts out there I dont know anymore.
