Permanent sharpie - help

mysweetpeasWil&Wes wrote: Wil just got a hold of a black sharpie pen and drew all over my white refrigerator door...What do I do to get it off? I tried straight 409 but it won't budge. growl.gif

Calimama replied: Magic Eraser. thumb.gif

kit_kats_mom replied: WD-40?

moped replied: www.howtocleananything.com

Jackie012007 replied: hairspray - spray it on and let it sit for a second, then take it off - it also gets permanent marker out of clothing! thumb.gif

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied:
Yeah, this is what it said on the website Jen suggested. They also said magic eraser and rubbing alcohol. Thanks!

Sam & Abby's Mom replied: OMG --I'd be freaking. Let us know if it came off ! Good luck.

Maddie&EthansMom replied: Acetone or fingernail polish remover (non-acetone even works) thumb.gif

MoonMama replied:
That's what I was going to say. Good luck.

danahas4monkeys replied: if you have a dollar general store near you they sell this stuff called Awesome its in a spray bottle its yellow in a clear bottle, it gets stains out of everything my 5 yr old drew on my new beige carpet with sharpie markers and we sprayed that stuff on it and scrubbed a little and it came right out no stains left well from that anyway and its really cheap too!

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Well I tried both rubbing alcohol and nailpolish remover since those were the only two I had in the house. Rubbing alcohol took some of it off, but not all. Nailpolish remover did the best, but you can still see a stain. I think if I would have cleaned it sooner, it would be all off...But I waited a couple days. blush.gif Thanks for the tips.

BabyOwen427 replied: Magic Eraser gets everything off.

Or you could paint the fridge tongue.gif tongue.gif j/k tongue.gif tongue.gif

PrairieMom replied: try coloring over it with a dry erase marker. color it and wipe it off a couple times. THat is how we get sharpie off dry erase boards at work .

Nina J replied: You know the scented body spray stuff you get, that works on plastic and stuff. If you spray it on then rub it off. Do you get Impulse in the US?? If you do, use that, because whenever I want to get permenant texta off something I use that.If you don't, I guess any other body spray would work.

Or else get a white board marker, and draw over it, and then rub it off.

lisar replied: Rubbing alcohol. Thats what worked for me.

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied:
Really? I'll have to try that. I still have a faint scribble stain. growl.gif I have put magnets and pictures over it...but I was hoping to sell it when we sell this house. mad.gif

punkeemunkee'smom replied: Oops-the spray you can buy at Walmart will get it out on hard surfaces. It smells funny so be prepared for that. I love that stuff though! Tara is right about the dry erase marker too thumb.gif We have a BIG drawing on the wall in Tay's room where she got into a sharpie when she was about 2. It wouldn't budge and since I was making more of a mess trying to clean it up I just had to leave it rolleyes.gif That was befoe I discovered Oops! wink.gif

MichaelsMommy replied: i've used this really strong stuff called 'goof-off' before and it's done wonders.

HuskerMom replied:
That's what I was going to suggest. I know it is excellent getting crayon off walls.

momtoMegan&Alyxandria replied:
Those things are amazing. I would try one.
