Personal Question

Im asking because usually bleeding for a month off and on is normal, depending on how much physical activity you have been doing. WHen I had my kids, the bleeding would stop, but if I did alot of cleaning or walking one day, it would come back. I would just call your doctor and ask.

giffmom replied: It propably just depends on your body, I didn't bleed that long after my c-section. I was really surprised at that. The dr always said not to be concerned unless the bleeding was heavier than a normal period. If you feel that there is something wrong you need to give your dr a call

My bleeding is heavy at times and lighter other times, but it has been non-stop since my c-section. I may give it a few more days and then call my Dr. if it hasn't completely stopped by then.

ITs probably normal, but call anyways and ask....I know that I bled off and on for a good month to a month and a half. I would bleed heavier if I was doing alot of activity.

Kaitlin'smom replied: I would call and talk to your doctor. I had a c-section and bleed for about 3 weeks on and off, heavey for 1 week then light on and off for the next 2 weeks.

MamaJAM replied: 3-6 weeks....the time was different after each baby -- DD#1 was the 6-weeker.

Mom2BNTN replied: Thanks so much for all of your responses!! I can worry about anything and everything, but I do feel better hearing the different times you had until you stopped bleeding. I am feeling a little less worried about it now!

luvmykids replied: I don't know if this is true or not but my doc was more concerned with wether or not there were clots and I was supposed to call if there were any large or painful ones.

coasterqueen replied: You are probably fine. I actually bled less after my c-section than I did with having Megan vaginally. I think everyone is different.

Heather77 replied: I bled for 6 weeks after both of my c-sections. The first 2 weeks were very heavy!

ashtonsmama replied: I would say definitely talk with your Dr. about this...it's probably nothing, and will probably go away completely on its own (my bleeding went until about 3 weeks or so, but it was very light) but you should make sure.

My3LilMonkeys replied: I only bled for about 2 weeks with each of the girls, but my Dr. told me not to expect 4-6 weeks of bleeding.
