Actually, she is the youngest on her team. I think there is only one other 6 year old. The girls are aged 6-8 (1st and 2nd grade) but most are 7 or 8 already, and yes she is as tall or taller than most the 8 year olds. At her check-up last week, she was 4'2" and 54lbs (97% for height and 75% for weight). She's often mistaken for a second grader. That's why I was so surprised when they played that other team that had REALLY tall girls. I'm used to Ashley being the tall one.

It will be hard if she is involved in other activities. It was a bigger commitment this year than I anticipated. It was several practices and/or games a week, and we had to travel on several games. I guess this is normal with school sports, but this is the first school sport Ashley has played and I was caught off-guard. But, she loves it, and that's what matters most. There definitely wasn't time for anything else during soccer season. Luckily, dance only overlapped for two weeks. We have our last soccer game tonight, and then a tournament next weekend and she's done for the year.

She looks beautiful as always- what other kid can play soccer and keep her hair looking so nice at the same time?! My kids always look like such a mess while playing sports! I'm glad it's been such a good experience- you're a great photographer!
