Pictures of Vegas - Finally I got them!

My2Beauties wrote: OK here are some pics of us in Vegas. This is one of us in a torture chamber at the Excalibur!

My2Beauties replied: This is of the Excalibur Hotel. We stayed across the street from this hotel at the Tropicana, our hotel was nothing special really, so I didn't take any pictures of the outside of it. This hotel is beautiful however!

My2Beauties replied: This is DF and me and his cousin in front of Buddha, you rub his belly for luck! It didn't work because I still lost money gambling!

My2Beauties replied: This is the huge statue of the Pharoah outside of the Luxor, that is the hotel that is shaped like a pyramid!

My2Beauties replied: This is a hotel called the Monte Carlo that was down the strip from us! I thought it was really elegant looking.

My2Beauties replied: This is the New York New York Hotel which was diagonal from us. We stayed across the street on one side from the Excalibur, the other hotel across the other street was MGM Grand, and New York New York was diagonal to us! We rode the roller coaster you see going around it!

My2Beauties replied: THis is a picture of our pool at the hotel, it is longer than this, it goes under a bridge and comes out on the other side, the other side is just as big. It was absolutely beautiful!

My2Beauties replied: This is the Stratosphere, see the long white pole at the top of the building, that is a ride that shoots you up called the Big Shot, I rode it! Yeah tell me about it, like to have scared the bejeezees out of me! I screamed bloody murder. You're already 921 ft. in the air just from being on the top of the building, then it shoots you up to 1.081 ft in 2.5 seconds at 4G's and you come down at 0G's, so your butt lifts off the seat on the way down. It does this like 3 times.

My2Beauties replied: This is the show they put on on top of the slot machines at our hotel. They also have acrobats that swing from a rope in the air!

My2Beauties replied: I had to take a picture of our bed in the hotel! Look at this thing, itwas awesome, big ol' King Size bed with mirrors everywhere...but believe me, no more little Hanna's running around! LOL!

My2Beauties replied: This is the water show at the Bellagio. It's called the Water Dance and the watrer almost dances to this music, it is beautiful!

My2Beauties replied: This is me and DF's cousin before we went out to a club!

My2Beauties replied: This is us in the spa!

My2Beauties replied: This is the Paris Hotel and the replica of the Eiffel Tower!

My2Beauties replied: This is part of the show outside of Treasure Island, it looks like the ship is on fire!

My2Beauties replied: Last one I promise, this is us posing for the camera a the Aladdin Hotel!

jcc64 replied: Looks like you had a blast! I also stayed at the Tropicana, but that was about 14 yrs ago when dh was on a business trip there. (from the looks of it, you were probably in preschool at the time, lol). None of the hotels you mentioned- the Excalibur, the Luxor, the Bellagio, NY NY, etc were even there . Back then, the place to go was the Mirage with the volcano eruptions every 15 minutes or whatever. Vegas is such a trip, isn't it? Did you win any $$$$?

Boys r us replied: Loos like you had a BLAST!!! We went again this past October, stayed at the Mirage.
Vegas is actually where we got married(in the drive thru chapel at the Little White Chapel)

Yeah my DF went about 7 years ago when he was 18 and he said that none of those hotels were there neither! I have pictures of the Volcano Erupting at the Mirage, that was awesome! I didn't put those on here. Vegas was a blast, if it wasn't for missing my Hanna to death, I could have stayed there another month, but I almost cried a couple of times because I missed her so bad. Did you ever see the White Tiger in the Mirage! They have Lions inside the MGM Grand too, they are beautiful! I love big cats. For the first four days I was there I did play on $30 and got up but then the 5th day on my chips slowly dwindled away and they took about another $150 bucks from me, not too bad for 8 days in Vegas, but I did lose!

Really, we thought about it but said nah we'll have our wedding here in Ky. What is the weather like there in October. It was 107 degrees everyday that we were there!!!!! It was hot but there is absolutely no humidity so it was the same as it being 80 degrees here in Ky. Our humidity is the worst! We are thinking about going next year around the same time, but I dont' want to stay for 8 days again, just 5 or so.

Boys r us replied: In Oct, it's still pretty hot, but like you said..NO HUMIDITY! Which I'm not used to b/c in VA our humidity is HORRIBLE! We've only been in the fall and winter months.

My2Beauties replied:

I hear that...when it's 80 here, our heat index is like 105!!! It's terrible.

maestra replied: We got married at the Excalibur 2 years ago. It was so fun! Vegas is only a 1hr plane ride from here, so it is a cheap vacation for Arizonans. Glad you had fun!

My2Beauties replied: Wow it's about 4 hours for us give or take 30 minutes or so, depending on where you layover at. We laid over in Atlanta on the way there and then in Cincinnatti on the way back. Cincinnatti was a 24 minute plane ride, I was so mad that we were laid over for 2 hours to get on a plane for 24 minutes when we had to fly over Louisville (where I live) to get to the Cincinnatti/Northern Ky. Airport!

LOL....thanks bunches! I have long chicken legs LOL! Bird legs run in my family...hee hee!

Kaitlin'smom replied: Looks like fun, DH wants to go to Vegas for our 10 year wedding ann, but i dunno the cost seems to much for such a short trip, and I dont know if I could be that far away from Kaitlin

lsjulee replied: Wow so fun!! Had a stopover there some 10 years ago for our honeymoon. I like LV too. The architecturals are simply awesome. Hope to go there again some time... and this is about 18 hours of flight I am talking about.

coasterqueen replied: Wow it looks like you had a great time! Dh and I have always wanted to go but not the money to do so. My IL's got married there 8 years ago so they go back every year on their anniversary.

My2Beauties replied: It's definitely an exciting town. Jamison's mama we went into Bally's and that hotel was extremely beautiful, we went from there to the Paris. I loved those hotels. Kaitlin's mom, it wasn't so bad, our hotel was only $40 a night through the week! We stayed at the Tropicana and the hotel is beautiful and the accomodations are nice. Want to know a trick that I learned. OUr hotel rooms at first were called the Garden Rooms, they were off to one side of the building, the older part, created in the 50's so these hotel rooms were really old. We walked in there and the accomodations were horrible and the room smelled like a toilet. We had no balconies as promised and DF's cousins whom we went with had a view of a roof! So we went to the manager and complained and told them how dissatisifed we were with our hotel room, they gave us a free room upgrade and gave us comps for a free lunch. Vegas wants you to be happy, because they want your money. So when you book a room, book the cheapest room there is (all hotels have different suites that cost more and more as they get nicer) and then complain...BOOM free upgrade! I know it sounds bad, but hey they got enough of our money already. You cna also eat fairly cheap there too. It's not bad unless you want to souvenir shop or gamble. But seeing the sites is more than half the fun and they are free. As faras missing Kaitlin, I totally understand, but you have to also give yourself a break! I missed Hanna to death and almost cried a couple of times but I also had the time of my life on the same note. Kaitlin will remember her mommy and daddy when you come back. I wouldn't stay for 8 days again, but 4 or 5 would be nice!

Did you happen to get a look at the Imperial Palace? That's where we're staying when we go next month. Just curious what it looks like.
