JP&KJMOM replied: OMG Mel. I am so sorry. and prayers for your kids. I know they will be safe.
Bee_Kay replied: Oh I am so sorry. I would be a worried wreck. I am sure they will be fine!!
C&K*s Mommie replied: well Mel, if it is any consolation a low catergory hurricane (as it currently is) will not do much damage. Wind, rain, maybe coastal flooding but nothing of a significant magnitude like a Cat 3 or higher hurricane.
I will pray for them as well, and I will pray for you since they are your babies, and we all want the best for our babies. .
holley79 replied: Honey take a deep breath. They are going to be ok. It's nothing major. I know it seems like it is but it's really not. It will mostly be rain and the whole state really could use it. I will keep them in my thoughts and prayers though.
AlexsPajamaMama replied: Praying your kids stay safe in Florida I'd be worried sick too

jaytrevjax replied: I am sooo sorry! I've never been close to a hurricane, let alone experienced one, I can imagine you are going out of you mind with worry! You would think any parent would want thier child out of there so they were safe, but obviously not. My prayers are with your children and you too!

ashtonsmama replied: I'm sure they'll be fine, but how scary for you Mel. KUP please and we're praying for them for sure.
jcc64 replied: I'm sure they'll be fine, Mel. Keeping them and you in my thoughts nonetheless.
KingMom replied: Mel, they will do fine. Stay strong for them, it could scare them more if they know how upset you are...
that said, I'll be thinking of you and your family!
~~*Missi*~~ replied: Ohhh hun I would be a basket case just like you are.. I am sure that if thier father thought they were in any kind of danger he would bring them home to you if possible. I am praying for your kids and all those in and around that hurricanes path.
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Lots of pt's for the kids...I'm sure they are fine.

kit_kats_mom replied: From a Florida girl for the past 20 something years...they will be fine. Take a deep breath and try to relax. If they are right on the water and the state thinks the winds or water damage will be bad, they will be evacuated. The state wouldn't risk letting people stay. Honestly, a cat 1 is no worse than a nor-easter...really.
Hugs and calming vibes.
now I'm off to the news since I"ve been at the museum all day with the girls and have no clue what is going on really.

couple of links from the local paper. Seems as if rain is the biggest issue here. Plus it sounds like they think it will hit further north of Tampa. We've not had any real rain in months Our pond was almost dry. Today, it is almost full again
