MoonMama replied: Tons and tons of prayers being said.
PrairieMom replied: Miss Ava is having surgery to have a feeding tube placed in her stomach so she won't have to use a tube in her nose anymore. From what I understand she is doing pretty well, and is stable, so that is a good thing. She has had a long road. Poor thing.

Mommy2BAK replied: Thank you once again everyone, yall are so good to our family. Ava's surgery went well and her recovery has been better than anyone could have imagined. I don't know if I ever told you guys this but I hear that staff here at the hospital refers to her as the "angel baby" And that she sure is. They did a MRI before surgery to check her brain since she has been through so much but praise the LORD that everything came back perfect, no problems. They are hopeful that she may get to come home next week, with a button (hole in her tummy for the feeding tube) and oxygen.... but at least we have her. I know that a few of you may think we have been through so much but I promise you there are so many people out there that have it so much worse than us, they are my inspiration.
Oh ya, since my brother died we found out his girlfriend is pregnant, now whether its actually his or not, I don't know yet. She is excited to get her hands on his Social Security for the baby
Oh and one more request.... DH is in danger of losing his job, because he has had to miss so much due to the girls being sick (when you think this may be your child's last day, leaving to drive 3 hours back to work is not an option), I know its all in God's hands but please continue to keep us in your prayers.
Thank You, you guys are wonderful friends.
kimberley replied: i am so glad to hear Ava is doing so well! my continued prayers that she comes home soon and for dh's job. thanks for updating.
you really are an inspiration in my eyes, Tamara. God bless you and your family.
A&A'smommy replied: I'm so glad Ava is doing so well
MommyToAshley replied: Tamara, thank you so much for stopping in to update us. Ava truly is a blessing and an Angel baby. I am so glad to hear that she is doing so well ... she is strong and a fighter. It would be so wonderful if you could take her home soon.
As for your DH's job, well, that is just awful of them to expect your DH to leave at a time like that. In fact, I am not sure but I think it may be illegal and he may want to check into the family leave act (link).
You and your family are always in our thoughts and prayers.
jem0622 replied: Continued P&PT for Ava. I am glad her brain looked great and the procedure went well. She is a fighter! I pray she comes home to be with her sissy very soon.
I am sorry that DHs job is at risk. I hope all will be okay. He didn't ask to have his girls become ill. Sometimes employers just have no sense! (((HUGS)))
Thanks for stopping in to update.
mckayleesmom replied: Im glad she is doing so well.
It must be hard hearing that your brother might be a father. On one hand you think that maybe she is just after the ss money and you hope it isn't his and on the other you probably would be greatful to have a piece of him here on earth. Its a double edged sword.
As for your husbands job. I hope they show some respect and understanding to him. If they don't, then that will be a different hurdle to jump when it gets to you. The health of your girls is far more important. You have shown tremendous strength as a family and I'm sure you will triumph over this situation as well.
Calimama replied: Can they do that? Fire him for missing work because of his sick daughter? That's unbelievable. You guys are in our prayers.
MoonMama replied: TONS of continued P&PTs.
jcc64 replied: I'm pulling for you and your family. May Ava grow and gain strength with every new day.
punkeemunkee'smom replied: Tamara, I am still so in awe of the amazing strength you have shown everytime you have faced a new challange the past few months. You are an amzing woman and wife and mom! We will add Larry's job to our prayers for you and as Dee Dee said I believe it is against the law for them to fire him. I love ya girl and I am praying that this all becomes a distant memory very very soon!
~Roo'sMama~ replied: Lots of Tamara! Your family has been through so much. I'm glad to hear Ava might be able to go home soon! I hope everything works out with Dh's job - it would be pretty low of them to fire him under these circumstances!
