Please send positive thoughts to my friend

kit_kats_mom wrote: I have a really good friend who I used to work with. She is a very smart, strong, spunky lady but she has really hit a rough patch lately & is getting really depressed. She really really really wants a family and I can't think of anyone who would make a better mom. However, she had 3 miscararrages over the last two years. When she went in for testing to find out why this was happening, they found something wrong with her liver. She is now on the transplant list and may be called anytime to go in for that. As if that's not enough to deal with (the fact that she most likely will never have babies and that she could die), I just got an email from her that her DH (Not darling) wants a divorce and won't even tell her why. I can't imagine how hard this is for her because I know that he has been her rock for years. I just feel so sorry for her and i know that she could use all of the positive thoughts and prayers you guys can send her.

kit_kats_mom replied: Update.
I just heard from my friends mom. She was called on Monday to go to Jacksonville for her liver transplant. They did the surgery that night and she is doing well so far.

I can't send flowers or anything because of the immunity issues but does anyone have any ideas of something I could do for her when she returns to town? I'm thinking a basket of homemade bread, sandwich stuff etc? I don't really know what someone who just went though a liver transplant can eat + she's diabetic and I dont' know anything about that either sad.gif UGH! Maybe something else would be better....thinking....thinking...thinking...Maid service for a few weeks??? .I need your help I'm having a brain fart.

kimberley replied: omg! i am glad the surgery went well and i will pray for her quick recovery.

what about some puzzle books, movies/cds, scrap book stuff, a diary, a picture made by K, moisturizing lotion or magazines? i would probably stay away from sending food with all the restrictions she has unless you knew for sure what she can have.

A&A'smommy replied: Im glad she is doing better!!!! Thats horrible that she is going through all that at once!!!

wow i cant think either...maybe going to help her around the house uhhh maybe you could ask her what she needs.

CantWait replied: Glad your friend's surgery went well. I don't have any ideas as I don't have a lot of experience with that either. However I just want to send her my best wub.gif

MomToMany replied: sad.gif OMG!! What an awful situation! My thoughts and prayers will be with her! And smash.gif smash.gif smash.gif to her DH, especially now, when she needs SO much support! What a jerk!!

I'm glad her surgery went well! Sorry I don't have any ideas on a gift. I don't have any experience with that stuff, either.

I hope she continues to do well. I'll say some more prayers for her!

amynicole21 replied: That's horrible! She must feel like her world is crashing down around her through no fault of her own. Sending extra positive thoughts her way.
