Poor Mckaylee

mckayleesmom wrote: Her and Emily said their goodbyes lastnight and today she keeps asking if she can go play with her. It breaks my heart. I keep telling her that Emily is moving away, so she won't see her anymore, but she doesn't understand. bawling.gif

I would say the same about Christian. She still does not understand that Taison (our Boston Terrier) is no longer here. She will say that she is holding something for him when he comes home later. Kids just cannot grasp the concept, but I just let her continue on thinking that Taison will be home later. sad.gif

I gave their mom my email address so the girls can draw each other pictures and keep in contact. I seriously feel like crying right now...it breaks my heart that she is so sad.

mckayleesmom replied: She is sitting on the porch right now waiting for Emily to come home.... bawling.gif

lisar replied: Maybe let them talk on the phone every now and then. That might help or make it more cinfussing for her.

b&bsmom replied: I know it is hard. I cried so much when my dd was upset after losing our cat. We hate to see their hearts break. It will pass and she will have more friends. I would send stickers and letters to each other. Kids love to get mail. Hang in there!!

That's so hard for little ones, I know, my older sister moved a couple years ago and Morgan just didn't understand why she couldn't see her friends...they sent drawings and called each other on the phone though, and that seemed to help her a little.

HTH.

One of my good friends had a little boy that was just 3 weeks older than Ion, and they were best buddies all growing up. They moved to Florida about a year and a half ago, and it was hard for Ion. He would always ask about him and ask when he's coming over and things like that. It just broke my heart. They would talk on the phone and things every once in a while, which helped. And they came to visit last summer, so the boys were happy to see each other. They are coming again this year, which we are excited about!!

mammag replied: Poor thing! That would break my heart too. They are so young and don't quite understand so it makes it really tough. Hope she is happy again soon! hug.gif
