Potty Traning Day 2 - Not as good as Day 1
moped wrote: So yesterday was a breeze.......this morning he peed on my floor
Oh well, so it goes!!!!!!!
Sam & Abby's Mom replied: How old is he ?
Sammy is 2-1/2 and I havent *really* started potty training him, yet.
moped replied: just turned 3
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Well WTG Jen for at least taking the big leap and trying! He will get there, you know that. I haven't made the comittment yet to fully train Wil. I decided to put underwear on him last Friday and take him to the potty after 20 minutes (suggested by a good friend of mine with three kids), just to see what would happen....And after 2 minutes, he peed in the underwear. So I took those off, took him to the potty and he peed in the potty. So underwear goes back on (fresh pair) and he goes to watch tv on the couch, falls asleep and only five minutes later, there is a puddle on my couch. Man these kids pee A LOT! He also peed in the bath the other day just standing there knowing exactly what he was doing. Boys will be boys I suppose! Hang in there.....Jack will get it soon.
moped replied: All I can say is I hope Tom is more patient with him tomorrow than I was today - he peed in his underwear twice - HE KNOWS HE HAS TO GO!!!!
No poop yet, and that worries me a tad as well
Boo&BugsMom replied: Just an FYI Jen...TOTALLY normal for the second and third days to be worse than the first. It's almost like they need to regress before they progress sometimes. They see how much work it is to actually walk somewhere and have to do something thay have been use to just doing anywhere they please. Hang in there! He'll do great, and so will you!
moped replied: I am glad to hear that because I was so disappointed yesterday!
gr33n3y3z replied: just dont go back to diapers or pull ups bc then you have to start all over again He will get it you will see
moped replied: Oh trust me - I would never
luvbug00 replied: Good luck for this week ladies! KUP on the progress!
Boo&BugsMom replied: Just remember...you said yesturday was a breeze...so that means he CAN do it. That's a great thing! Also, remember accidents will continue to happen no matter how long he's been trained. Tanner had one in his sleep about a month ago and he's now just turning 5 and has been trained since 2 1/2. He didn't pee before bedtime... . I remember weeks would go by without an accident, then one day he'd just have one out of the blue. Isn't potty training fun??? It certainly is not one of my favorite past times.
moped replied: So you won't come stay with us for a couple weeks to get the job done??
Boo&BugsMom replied: You're on your own with that one dear! I gotta do this all over again in 2-3 years! SO DO YOU!!!
moped replied:
moped replied: Peeing was 100% today - he pooped his pants later though
Boo&BugsMom replied: YAY for Jack!!! Atta boy!
