Potty training week

He starts back to school next week so I wanted to devote this week to training him. It takes a lot of effort on my part and I have been rather lazy about it. Maddie was so easy and I admit I was a bit spoiled by her maturity.

So far today he has pooped and peed in the potty and only had 2 accidents in his underwear. We are making some progress. I wanted to put him in underwear so when he had an accident he would know what it feels like to be wet, how to stop, etc. After his accidents I put him on the potty and encouraged him to try to potty again and that is when he pooped. I really think he's getting the hang of it!! Maddie is being such a GREAT big sister. While they are playing she will remind him to sit on the potty and she taught him to wash his hands by himself when he is finished.

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Woo hoo! Ethan sounds like he is almost there! WTG! Wil has given up the potty for now. He still pees on it once in awhile, but the interest is gone. He doesn't want to wear underwear either. I'm going to try again in a few more months.

My3LilMonkeys replied: WTG Ethan!!! It must really be potty week....we started Brooke on Sat. I too have been very lazy about making her when she doesn't want to but she is doing great and we are only a few hours away from her first accident free day!

Wow so he and Callum are the same age, his birthday is 3-17. We started potty training this week too.
