Prayers Requests!

Okay Jeremiahs job started out good, decent pay and insurance, then his boss took his company back and so it was a small business instead of corprate like it started out. Jeremiah hates who is working for his big boss the owner of the company is money hungry, his "little" boss is power hungry and is NOT a people person and doing what he does he needs to be. Jeremiah has been working his butt off for the last 10 months for OUR schools he is loyal to the school system because so far they have been wonderful to him. They have been wanting to hire HIM for a while now and he has already been offered a job making probably about 10 -15k more a year, plus benefits, insurance for all three of us, plus goverment benefits and GREAT retirement. His bosses created a new system for the schools and before testing and all that other stuff they put it out on the market well everyone is leary about it and now even more so because they are having NOTHING but trouble with it. His big boss gave a proposel to the school here, the school didn't want it. Jeremiah made them a proposel but the school kept it quiet because "conflict of interest" but they REALLY want him. SO anyway his boss got really upset when they decided that they didn't want this new system well since then his boss has been kind of a baby about things... he sent Jeremiah away and has been trying to "pull" him for the schools KNOWING that the school wants only him for all of their stuff, servers AND desktops. He started out at junior technichion but now he was WAY above that all he needs now are his certificates and he will be almost the same level as his boss. Anyway the problem now is that his boss suddenly decided he wants JEREMIAH to sign a non-competetion clause stating that for six months after he quites Intec he will not work for anyone that has been, could be or is a client of them basicly IF he signs it he will not be able to work for the school system like he planned on. Well he did NOT sign the one for that last company and his isn't going to now because that is six months he won't have a job unless we move to another state and even then he would have to be careful. We want to stay here and we need to make better money and have these benefits. So since is isn't going to sign it he is probably going to get fired and he thinking about telling them today. The school CAN get out of the contract because 1) they never signed the original contract 2) it wasn't with Intec it was with another company and since the companys split its they can get out of the contract easily. So anyway the job for Jeremiah being the Network Admin has to be on the table in front of the board for ten business days so they will contract him (if his soon to be boss can get it set up in time) during that time. So I need prayers jeremiah has been sick over this he has been seeking advice and has decided not to sign the clause he tore it up and threw it away (knowing his boss decided to make him sign that because he doesn't want to loose demopolis or Jeremiah) and now he is going to tell them so please pray that for him during this time he REALLY needs it!!

kimberley replied: ugh that sounds sticky. i think Jeremiah did the right thing not signing the contract. sounds like his boss is afraid of the competition which means Jeremiah does have the skills to BE competition, kwim? even if he gets fired from his boss, he still has an opportunity directly with the school, right? P&PT your way that he gets the position he wants and the benefits that go with it. give him a big hug and try to get him to relax. have faith it will all work out

kimberley replied: well, some of you read in my other post that my uncle passed away yesterday evening. i could use some P&PT and strength to get through the next few days. my mom is flying in today to help her SIL make arrangements and to sit my 93yo grandfather down and tell him his son died . he can barely hear or see and telling him on the phone is just a rotten idea so we are waiting til my mom comes. my grandma and sis are flying in saturday evening and i suspect my grandma will fall apart shortly after she gets here. she is still in shock/denial it is just so unnatural to outlive your kids. services will probably be monday.

Please remember Andrew Martin, age 53, loving husband to Patricia for 33 years, father to Kevin(32) and Katie(21). Survived by his mom, dad and sis. He will be greatly missed.

Jeremiah's cousin is pregnant and is in Browns hospital in missouri with kidney failure they said if they don't get better that she will be in on a dialis (sp?) machine.. she has had kidney problems before but the pregnancy is making it worse. They asked her to abort the baby and that is a definite NO NO this baby was planned... PLEASE pray for her this is life and death!!

huggybugboy replied: Please pray for my pastors wife, Martha. She has been battling MS for 8 years and is doing really bad right now, worse than she's ever been. She has been admitted to the hospital for heavy doses of intravenous steroids and if she doesn't get better she will have to be transported to UCSF. She has a little boy who is 5 and a preemie daughter who is two weeks older than my son. Please pray for strength for my pastor as he is having to deal with a sick wife and two young children. Thanks.

mummy2girls replied: I need everyones prayers! Please...As most of you know if not all that i lost a son 6 years ago. he was born with a disease called hirschsprungs. No one knows if it is actually genetic because it is rare and such. Many families that has had this in thier family can have just one child with it, all with it, or almost all with it. jordan died from it and jenna was born very healthy and normal. Im scared that this baby may have it and im terrified. This disease developes in the womb at 12 weeks and i am now almost 11 weeks. So im getting pretty nervous. No u/s or test can detect it only after the baby is born can they test for it. So please keep my baby in your prayers and hopefully in matrch i will announce a new healthy arrival to my family:) Thank you guys:)

3'smom replied: An officer was killed where my dh used to work. He is heading there later today for the funeral. His dept is sending him in a unit to represent their dept. It is in Baton Rouge and we are in Oklahoma. He works in Arkansas right over the state line. Please pray for him a safe trip and for the officers family and the ones mourning his death.

coasterqueen replied: I just wanted to ask for p&pt's for two people in my life, if possible.

One is my grandma. She was in the hospital all last week for congestive heart failure but is home now. I went to see her the other day and left crying. She looks so horrible The mini strokes she's had has made her where her whole body slopes to one side, her eye is droopy, mouth is droopy, it's just awful They say as long as she takes these pills her heart will be ok for now, but I know the parkinsons plus is taking its toll on her. She made one request the other day, to be able to walk just one more time before she dies. She hasn't been able to walk for a very long time now with the parkinsons plus along with other complications. I just don't think I can bare to lose one more person in my life right now

The other p&pt request is for a good friend to my parents and my children. Well and to Dh and I as well. She's my dad's secretary. I didn't know this til yesterday but her breast cancer has spread to other parts of her body and she just doesn't want to fight it anymore. She was told that no matter what the treatment it will only prolong her life and not for very long the way it's spreading so she's chosen not to do any more treatments and to live life as happy and full as she can. She spends a lot of time with my parents and my girls go over to see her at least once if not twice a week when she's at my parents house. Doris buys the girls stuff all the time, she's just a sweet lady. She even got Kylie to ride the 4-wheelers this past weekend, something no one else has been able to do. I'm so saddened by the news but I know that she seems so happy. Her own son won't let her see him or her grandson because of an awful fight they had so very long ago (well not that long, a few years). He know she's dying but doesn't care. So that's why she's really taken to my girls.

amymom replied: Please pray for my SIL's family. Her mother died last night after a short illness. She was 64 yrs old. Young to be going so soon.
My SIL had six siblings all who are married and have children. She and my brother have two children (8 & 7 yrs old), so they are all dealing with alot right now.

coasterqueen replied: My good good friend just called me to get together and told me she has pre-eclampsia (sp?). She's not due til mid November. Please, please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. She has had so many many female problems in her life and this is more than likely going to be her only child because of all the problems she's had. I just pray this baby stays still til her due date. They are going to be putting her on bedrest and she'll go every week for check-ups and then every other day.

a lady i met on freecycle early this year lent me some wedding things and i met her brother also when i picked the stuff up. i finally hooked up with her last week to return the stuff on saturday when she told me the sad news. her 22yo brother was in a fatal motorcycle crash the night before so young!

and big prayers to my grandpa please. since his son died a couple of months ago, he was admitted to hospital and now in a home. the tests are back and on a scale of 1-10, his prostate cancer is about a 9. they say he has maximum 9mos left with us and i plan to go up every weekend. this is so sad. he suffered in silence for years because he was afraid of going to the hospital or being put in a home. the docs say he must have been in excruciating pain for a long time . MEN out there reading, please see your doctor regularly. this was preventable and his pride is robbing all of us of the precious time we have together.

Debra replied: Hi everyone! We are in need of some prayers so here is a little info.

We have 2 children. Our son is 6 & our daughter will be 4 on Thanksgiving. We have suffered through 3 miscarriages so after Ashlynn was born, we decided to have my tubes tied because physically & emotionally, I would not have been able to handle another child lost. So I had my tubes tied in May '02 when DD was about 6 months old. As much as we were pained to have the tubes tied, we knew it was for the best. Then trouble started & in August '03 I had a hysterectomy just a couple months shy of my 26th birthday. We desperately longed for more children & felt like we had so much more love to give. We decided that someday we'd try to adopt.

Well a possible adoption has basically landed in our laps. There is a 20 year old woman who works with my Mom who is 33 weeks pregnant. She wants to put the baby up for adoption & approached my Mom about us adopting. My Mom also didn't tell us because it sounds too good to be true, you know. The birth Mom wanted to do this without an adoption agency & doesn't want to make a big "stink" about it & embarass her wealthy, prominent family. She is asking for NOTHING. Her parents insurance (she's still considered dependant because she is in college) has covered all appointments to date as well as the birth. She has contacted a lawyer to find out legally what needs to be done so that we can have this sweet baby with our names being on the birth certificate, etc.

DH is in the military so if she decides that she wants to go through an agency, the military will pay for it!

We want a child so badly! But we are so scared to get our hopes up & we are fearful that she'll either back out or something will go wrong.

The only people we have told (well besides all of you now!Wink) are my parents & my IL's.

All of the necessities for the baby would be covered so that isn't a worry!

Please pray that if this is God's will, that we will soon have a new baby! We don't know the sex of the baby & it doesn't really matter to us. I am so scared!

And if anyone who has gone through the adoption process can share their stories, advice, feelings etc, I would greatly appreciate it! Feel free to PM me if you don't want to post!

mom21kid2dogs replied: I know they're "just dogs" but in my house they are family. Unfortunately, if things keep going the way they have I will lose both of them by Christmas. Could I please get some prayer for their situation?

Dudley is our 14 year old cocker spaniel. He has mitral valve in 2 valves and wasn't supposed to live 6 months (so we were told in Jan). We consider every day with him as a gift but would like prayer for a quick and easy passage to the Rainbow Bridge when his days here are done. He has been the best dog ever and deserves no less than this. He's aged at an alarming rate in the past month but still acts like our old boy some parts of the day. I just don't want him to have pain.

Bailey is our 22 month old lab wannabe. He jumped out of the bed of a pick up truck at 9 weeks of age and bounced right into our laps and hearts. Luckily for him he's a cute horse because he has been a very difficult dog until about 6 months ago. He's always had the disposition of a lab~very gentle, sweet~ but his neurology has been screwed up from the beginning. He acted much more alooof than our other dogs and was much harder to grow to love. We got alot of help from a great trainer who found him to be very sound sensitive and reward resistant. I had to walk him 2 hours a day for 10 months to help him deal with his abudant energy. Needless to say, we've poured a good amount of time and resources into getting him to be a part of our family. Things had finally started to settle down well for us when in July he developed a seizure disorder. He went on meds and things were looking better for a while. He was having 2-3 seizures a month (good maintenence is 2-3 a year) but they were manageable. Today he had 2 seizures within the span of 20 minutes. I asked some very direct questions and got the answer I was suspecting and dreading at the same time. Cluster seizures are serious, largely uncontrollable and untreatable. If they continue we will have no real choice but to put him down. As much as it took to love Bailey, I can never permit him to "live" the way he did today. I hate the thought of putting him down! We all have grown attached to him and Olivia ADORES him. As far as she is concerned the sun sets and rises on him. The vet doubled his meds and took another blood level in case he's just bottoming out for some reason~med wise. We're praying that the increase in meds will help. In the alternative, please pray that we all display the strength to do what we need to in making his passing a soft one.

We'd appreciate it if you could keep them (and us) in your prayers. Thanks!!!
