Prayers needed

Brias3 wrote: We just received word this morning that we lost a family member last night. A sister-in-law of mine was killed in a car accident out in Washington, where they live. She is the wife of my husband's oldest brother and they have two young children. My husband is not particularly close to this brother of his, due to some events in the past, so I am unfortunately not very close to this portion of his family but we do see each other some holidays and keep in contact with their children, who area year older than Ryan is (they are twins).

It's a pretty difficult day for us here- I just spoke with Bruce on the phone for the first time about an hour ago after I received word at about 9 a.m. He's out in London and then supposed to be going on to Dubai this week but will be flying home as soon as he can arrange a flight. We'll be headed out to Washington as soon as I get more details on further plans. Needless to say, I might be kind of scarce this week and I would very much appreciate prayers for our family and for her husband and kids especially. Thanks in advance to all.

Brias3 replied: Thank you all for your support. We'll be holding a memorial service and burial on Friday, so I'll be flying out with the kids on Wednesday and Bruce will head directly there. I actually called my brother-in-law Sean (the husband) yesterday to speak with him in person, since it was my mother-in-law who alerted us of the tragedy, and we actually had a pretty long conversation. I talked to my nieces as well. Bruce even managed to get in touch with him and they spoke for about an hour. Since they are rather enstranged and don't keep in contact well, I thought this was really nice that they were at least able to touch base and Bruce lended his support personally. If any good can come out of something like this, I'm hoping maybe it will in the sense of them becoming a little closer at least and making amends on some past issues. I think at this time more than ever, Sean could definitely benefit from the support of a brother.

I have had a loss of a close person my age a year back and all I can say is that your husbands brother will need support more now and 6 months and year from now then he will ever admit. I'm very sorry for the loss.
