Pregnant for LIFE!!!

I will be 40 weeks this friday, due this saturday but I just dont think she is ever coming, I dont think I could possibly be more uncomfortable if I tried, I started at 123lbs and now weigh 167!!!!! I just cant believe it! I didnt have one single stretch mark until a week ago (NOT FAIR!!!) I can barely move and simply miss having my the body I used to have. My belly has its own atmosphere I swear Ive never seen anything like it, my hands started swelling yesterday and I just in general look like crap. If I clean my house anymore Im going to start taking the finish off the furniture! I even gave my cat and German shepard a bath yesterday.....and btw this whole having sex to induce is a bunch of crap, we have been going at it everyday practicaly for the last 9 months and nothin....when my daughter does come....if ever, she wont be needing her diaper changed she will need the keys to the car!!!!! 
Veruka's Mom replied: did I mention Ive been 1cm dialated for over a week now!!!!
GavinsMommy replied: Relax! I felt that way too and I induced  It was a great experience, but I wish I hadn't because I will never know when I would have *really* gone into labor. Course, since he was my first I probably would have ended up with an induction anyway from going over.
Some people are 1 cm dilated for a LONG time. Relax, baby will be there soon. Enjoy the rest of the time you have with your little baby inside of you, I miss that feeling 
A&A'smommy replied: Lauren is right enjoy it while you can because I promise its going to be over soon and maybe not right away but you will miss it.
Also make sure to research on iduction and giving birth you want to know as much as possible so YOU can be in control of your delievery! Good luck! 
MyBlueEyedBabies replied: I'm sorry. I felt the same way too...for a loooooong time. NOw you can say there is no way you could possibly be pregnant for more than 2 weeks, the dr. won't allow it. I would start crying to my ob for an induction (oh wait I did  )
Sorry your miserable, it will all be over soon.
Oh yeah, I was dialated to 3 for over a month, so....
amynicole21 replied: I'm right there with you!! And I definitely have at least 2 more weeks of this! Possibly as much as SEVEN! Ack  I feel like crap, I look like crap, and I am cranky and miserable. Try to hold out without an induction if you can - they aren't fun. Hang in there!

It just depends on the person! I have had 2 good inductions.Mmy labor was 3 hours with my first dd and 90 min with the second dd. My dr has already agreed to induce me this time too.
Veruka's Mom replied: thanks for the words of incouragement mommies, had my last dr visit thursday and am still only 1cm, I am due tomorrow, and have been told that if I dont go into labour on my own they will be inducing me next thursday or friday! I do realize I will miss feeling her so close to me and feeling her move, but I am just so miserable and want to meet this amazing litlte girl!!! wish me a quick birth!!!

Veruka's Mom replied: Well today is my induction day....tonight we go to hospital to get induced!!! they are starting me out with a Cervadil tab (sp?) and then pitocin (sp?) we should have our little girl by Saturday morning sometime!!!! Im so excited yet pretty nervous too, funny thing is I have been getting some pretty powerful contractions since lastnight, but they have only come five minutes apart for like 20 minutes then they get speratic again....wish me luck!!

At Midnite, Friday night/Saturday morning, Bridget was given her cervedil. She was 1 cm and her contractions were getting stronger, at 3 - 5 minutes apart.
by 4AM those contractions had become the real deal.
We know knew what people meant when they said you'd KNOW the real deal.
She was still at 1CM though, so her pain had to be endured without anything for it.
At 8:30 AM, she was FINALLY at 4CM, so they gave her an epidural (whach at one point she swore she'd never get.
At 11:30, she was at 10Cm and it was time to push. Her first delivery was very tough as the back of the baby's head was coming out first and got stuck for about 20 mins. Finally, when the Dr announced that she was stretching badly, I told him to cut her (which she, the nurse and I had agreed on beforehand), and as soon as he did, out came our little girl. 7lbs 6oz, perfectly healthy, with a ton of long dark hair!!.
She's just gorgeous and perfect in every way and we love her dearly.
I'm sure Bridget will come back on oon and fill in the holes that I may have missed.
