Props to Luvs - Diaper kudos

We started off using Pampers Swaddlers when she was a newborn, and we've used Luvs ever since....my SIL had used only Luvs with her little one, and she highly recommended them to us....wow, what a diaper!

I tell you, they do NOT LEAK no matter what is in them and how much! I have took some diapers off of her wanting to weigh them, they are SO full, and not a leak in sight! In fact, I can say that in 17 mos, we have never had a leak in the night- no wet sheets, no wet baby or pj's.

Luvs had a commercial that says "they just work" and that's just it!

MomToMany replied: Yikes, kinda freaky that they can hold so much if you ask me. I wouldn't want that next to my girl's skin. But I use something better anyway (cloth all the way here!). And they are cheaper than disposables.

It is kinda gross. I hate having to be the one to take off the pull-ups in the mornings if the kids peed in them overnight. So grody! lol

I'm doing half cloth, half disposables... since this is our last baby, at least the last for 5 years, I've gotten a few here and ther - buut I don't have enough, so I do about half and half. The kids have soakers that I knit and crochet though... lol

Well it is completely dry when you feel it after they pee because it abosorbs so well so I highly doubt, Mollie, that it's hurting their skin!

Mom2Boyz replied: We use Luvs with both of our boys, and I don't have a single complaint about them THey are soooo much cheaper than Huggies or Pampers, and recently they've even started putting coupons in the bag

1moremakes4 replied: We started using Luvs with our first because she was so tiny and the stretchy tabs on the other brands overlapped too much on her. We stuck with them until she was potty trained because they worked so well. Now we use them for second daughter too. They're great! We've only had leaks with dirty diapers (when that lovely yellow poop goes up her back) YUCK! But never with pee.

Have you noticed though that they sell the smaller sizes in small packages and the larger sizes in big packages? It's never made sense to me. I guess they know we will need a lot of them, so we will buy more packs.

They stunk terible and she got a rash every time (and we never really experienced how much they could hold casue we change them every 2 or so hours. ) they weer so crinkly and although the blues clues was cute, not enough of a reason to use them when they smelled awful once she peed in them (and it wasn't her urine it was a plastics chemically smell~ like cleaner) We always used pampers cruisers or swaddlers and tried Luvs for one pack and never again. recently (about a month ago ) we switched to cloth adn LOVE IT!!! She wake sup dry adn happy every day, no rash, CUTE CUTE CUTE diapers tha twe cna wash and re use hundreds of times ( and resell to get back most of what you've spent!) NOW that is a wonder diaper IMO! So glad we found a system that works wonderful for us adn so many others in teh world (i knwo some of you are gonna ay it's not for you and that' s FINE by me.. more cute diapers for me to buy.

Cece00 replied: We use Luvs most of the time, too. They work great, although I DO hate the Blues CLues pattern/purple coloring. I prefer them more plain.

Pampers company actually makes Luvs, which is why they are still a good quality diaper even though they are a little cheaper. Its like Old Navy is to Gap (the company that owns Gap owns Old Navy).

BUT- Pampers is lowering their prices soon. I saw a commercial for it last night. Thank goodness, because I know full well that it does NOT cost that much to make a diaper, its a rather high markup.
