PrairieMom replied: Good for him. my 10 week old mainly just drooled, and sometimes smiled if I was lucky.
noahsmom replied: Yep sure does...he says Im good...Now No he doesn't come right out and say "IM GOOD" like we would, He imitates my sounds its like MMM Gooood... And yes he can sit up just for a little while.. Hes also growing amazingly fast...We have to buy 6-9month clothes for him now, as he is starting to outgrow all of his 3-6months. And I dont want to even Talk about how many Nice clothes we bought in 0-3months!!...and more than half never got used!!...ugghh!!
At First I was a little worried about him growing this fast hes 15lbs, & 23 inches long. But, We discussed it with his pediatrition & he said hes doing GREAT!...It still worries me a little bit though...Our Ped. said hes the size of his 6month old.
ZandersMama replied: wow.....
noahsmom replied: I thought him Imitating a little bit would be normal at this age??? Ive also never dealt with babies until my own, & I havent really found it in books or magazines but, with him doing it just assumed... we've worked with him from birth, My dad said it was suppost to be one of the easiest thing for a baby to learn. It was what me and my sister said first. Were suppost to be getting a new Video Camera because our old decided it would break the day he was born grr!..Just never got around to getting one but, when we do Ill tape him saying it.
lisar replied: Good for him.
My2Beauties replied: I have to see pics of him sitting up on his own, there is just no way.
MyBabeMaddie replied: Wow I thought mine was an early sitter-upper she was 5 months old!
MotherForever2043 replied: WOW I'm speechless! I really want to see pics too!!
noahsmom replied: Like I said he can sit up for no longer than 20seconds. Ill get them up, I didn't know this was going to cause a comotion on the board I was just wanting to brag about my little man, Like we all like to do.
Bamamom replied: Its just soooo amazing to think of a 10 week old sitting up independently. Most are just learning to hold up their own heads.
I see you have a pic of your little man sitting on the sofa - are you talking about him sitting up propped against something?
At any rate - go Noah!!!!!!
noahsmom replied: The night before last I had him sitting up kind of holding him up by his arms him sitting in front of me, a pillow behin him just in case. But No, nothing is helping him sit up, and he isn't leaning against anything either. If he gets in a balanced position he can sit himself up, hes still leaning towards me with his head & body. But, he is sitting up by himself. either way lol unbelievable or not hes doing it, & I think its wonderful. I still feel like hes just growing/developing to fast though. And that pic of him sitting up on the couch is of him around 1month old. Hes a very big baby. When he was born he gained 2ounces his first day, & when it came time for his first feeding we had NO PROBLEM! getting him to eat! LOL I have a picture of him on the scale w/his hand in his mouth Ready to eat! my husband took it when they ran noah out of the room to weigh him and check him. This was right after my husband cut noah Cord. Its soo cute! Im gonna put that up to!
moped replied: You have done great with him!!!!!
He looks likethe big baby boy I had 3 years ago
Boo&BugsMom replied: Just be careful, if you have him sitting up independantly too soon before his body is structurally ready it could do damage to his spine. That is great though. They are usually slouchy at this age, but it is possible. Just be careful.
Oh, and it is totally normal for them to make those sounds at this age. It's not really repeating though, it's cooing. The MMM sound comes naturally and is usually the cooing sound. My first LOVED to coo. I loved it when I would look at him and talk, then he'd look at me and coo back (ahh, mmm, ooo), like we were having a conversation.
My2Beauties replied: Yeah I was going to say we always said Aubrey was saying I good or I'm good, but it was more like Ahhh Gooo and she would smile. We always react by saying yes you're good. Don't get discouraged about the dada and mama thing, Aubrey is just now mumbling dadadadada and she is 7 months old. My kids held up their own head pretty early on, but I have never ever heard of a baby sitting up on their own at 10 weeks old, honestly. I understand he's big but that doesn't mean anything, I just am in shock I guess.
