Psychic mediums - bogus or lucky?? IYO

They asked people to call in to get "readings", three callers went on the air, and two out of the three he was vague on, but they were close enough where he got a positive response from the caller, enough to continue on. KWIM? Some things he told were not quite so vague, but even still.... One caller had no clue as to what he was talking about, and they had to move on to the next.

My question is what do you think of these psychic mediums?? Are they legit or just phonies, in your opinion.

luvbug00 replied: Phonies. From my 2nd hand experience children CAN see and speak to spirits but adults communicating is just so hard for me to believe.

mckayleesmom replied: I don't know...I have mixed feelings....I use to love Psychic Silvia Brown...but she was wrong on who was going to be our president this last time.....I also think she makes stuff up as she goes along....Now shes a pet psychic too . I love Montel...but now I can't stand him on Wednesdays because its Silvia Brown day....I mean come on..how many books can you write?

I also don't like the fact that they never do updates to tell you if any of the stuff she tells people about missing people is true. You always have family of missing ask her questions and she directs them where to go...but never any updates.

I think most are fakes but some aren't.

I really don't know what I think about real Psychics... not sure whether they get the gift/curse from God or Satan.

punkeemunkee'smom replied: I think the average money seeking Silvia Brown type is fake. I do believe however that there is a spirit world. The Bible talks about mediums and soothsayers(psychics) and warns against them so I know that they can be real. I think alot of what they say is so broad spectrum and vague that it can apply to alot of people and if you listen sometimes the people themselves will give out little bits of info that 2 seconds later the Psychic will see or feel and build on 'from the beyond'

This is what I think. I was watching John Edwards the other day as a matter of fact and he was putting words in people's mouths. It really irritated me the way he was so pushy about what he was "seeing" or "hearing" from the other side.

Ok Sylvia Brown...a complete wack job.

John Edwards...I love the guy, he is really believable. He does most of the talking and if he's a phony he's a really good one. I watch him ALL the time.

The guy with the scribbling, I don't know his name but he's very good also. I think him and John are the real thing.

Yes I have seen that too! Or when they say (for example) "What did your grandfather do for a living?" And the person says " He was a cowboy..." And the psychic says "UhHuh UhHuh...I am getting a feeling from him....why would he be telling be to say MOOO??? " And the people go "OMG!!! You would have never known that!" Yeah because I figured you meant he herded Kangaroos when you said cowboy....

I noticed by reading alot of your responses that some of you have a religious take as to why you believe they are "fakes". But do me, I believe that God blesses each individual with certain uniqueness and gifts. Some of us are just ment to speak with passed or lost souls and some aren't. I by no means am a psychic, but I have had several dreams come true and have seen a couple relatives that have passed right in front of me (one of which was my sister the night she died). You can think I'm nuts, I really don't care, but I truly believe there are spirits around us every day guiding us and protecting us, and I know there are people that are just sensitive enough to hear them or speak with them. JMO.

C&K*s Mommie replied: You are not a nut job, Ericka. I believe you when you said you saw your sister pass before you the night before she passed on. You have a strong love for her, and I believe you. ITA with having spirits (I say they are angels) around us each day. ITA 1000%, without a doubt. But having them (the spirits) in single file line, so that when their loved one here on earth gets called upon, they suddenly appear to a medium, then they leave only to have the next set of loved ones suddenly "appear" for the medium to talk to is bogus, IMO. In this case, John "saw" them doing certain things, making certain motions which he relayed to the caller (and I suppose he will to the audience member too), it just did not fit, nothing about it did KWIM? But angels among us.... absolutely!

I totally agree about the spirits/angels not standing up in line waiting to be heard by a medium. lol That's kinda a funny picture though. Can you imagine? lol

Anyway, But I do feel that sometimes those spirits/angels get frustrated with us. Like they've been trying to point us in the right direction and giving us signs, but we've been ignoring it. And if they happen to chance upon somone that can either see or hear them, they jump at the chance. KWIM? But definately not a waiting line.....take a number and your message will be relayed in 35 minutes.... lol

Me too. I watched on the Discovery Channel once where they did all sorts of tests on him and they couldn't figure out exactly what was going on but the tests showed that his brain was definately doing some weird and unusual stuff. At one point it showed his brain was in a complete sleep state and he was wide awake.

You can't fake that.
